Sa slippage pa lang BoI maiintindihan mo na sana na hindi kaagad natatransmit ng torque converter ng auto tranny ng DMAX ang buong 333Nm starting at 1600rpm. Ganun din sa Strada hindi kaagad nyan natatransmit ang buong 350Nm starting at 1800rpm dahil sa slippage sa torque converter.
BoI magresearch na kasi to learn more about torque converter and how its chracteristics affects the over-all performance
Kung may ilalabas man na performance curve para sa model with auto tranny ay very dependent ang results sa characteristics ng torque converter. Ang kayang iproduce na curve (hugis curve) ng Chassi Dyno ay hanggang doon lang sa kayang eh transmit na torque ng torque converter within a specific time period.
Para malaman ang maximum torque at a particular engine RPM kailangan pa antaying until the turbine of the torque converter reaches about 90% of the engine speed or yung coupling speed. Kapag inantay naman hindi na curve ang results BoI parang likod na ng dinosaur na tadtad ng matataba na spikes ang hugis.
Gusto mo ba yun BoI ang parang likod ng dinosaur instead of publishing maximum torque of 350Nm at 1800-3500rpm plus a smooth performance curve that includes the characteristics of the torque converter that was used in the vehicle?

At least those who are familiar with (familiar ka na rin dapat ngayon... hahahah) and racing minded, knows that they can achieve a quicker acceleration by replacing the stock one with racing performance torque converter.
Whereas those who wants a more firm feeling and don't like peaky torque, they can refer to the stock performance curve and be amazed how smooth is the performance curve during normal acceleration.

Dmax manual is 360Nm
Dmax auto is 333Nm
333/360 = 0.925 or 92.5%
4D56 Manual is 400Nm
4D56 Auto is 350Nm
350/400 = 0.875 or 87.5%

There is a huge difference between 250 Nm at 1800 rpm and 350 Nm at 3500 rpm.... and definitely a huge fuel-consumption difference just to achieve that 350 Nm at one-single sweet spot along the rev-range whereby one needs to wring-out the neck of the GTV Strada's engine at 3500 rpm, instead of a low-rev such as sub-2000 rpm hehe....
