Yes this is true, the Strada has the least bed payload capacity compared to the others in its class but has perhaps the softest set of shocks. I've always called the Triton Strada a "Sport Pick-up" because of its looks

hmmm... para sa kin... both truck have negative differences naman... ang sa kin lang... kung san ka satisfied and comfortable whenever your already riding one of these toys... lalo na sa pagbyahe araw araw, you need to consider many aspects buying the best ride ever. Sa hilux... totoo, sobrang tagtag kasi baka eto yung mga low end hilux. matigas talaga yung shox nya and talagang mananakit yung bewang mo. hahaha...pero may mga hilux naman na ok... kasi you can change the parts upon purchase... kasi yung sa friend ko... when they purchase the unit... they request to change some parts... kaya ok naman. Ok din yung bagong strada... sa porma ok din naman... and if you already tried to ride the strada and you really felt na comfortable ka... consider mo... kasi if you will use this toys naman for carrying loads... either of this two will do...

The strada may be the logical choice in this case - The smaller cargo bed wouldn't be used all too often, and that passenger comfort is closer to a car than it is on the hilux.

I'm just not familiar with the rear amenities on both vehicles. Compared to the ranger, the hilux has better room in the back seats. Not sure about the strada, though.

I don't think that strada has the least bed load capacity... I think it's only the cargo bed dimension which is smaller than the hilux but load capacity and towing capacity is in the side of strada....

a lady friend of mine just got her strada gls sport a few days ago, same color tulad kay drave. she told me hilux daw talaga ang gusto niya kaya lang the price difference was a major factor ata. i told her bagay nga sa kanya yung strada, chic na chic ang dating.

i agree with you that both the strada & hilux has its own pros & cons. choice or preference na lang siguro. it's good that we are comparing both sport utility trucks minus the idiotic & childish comments like ''the <insert vehicle's name here> sucks! walang kwenta compared to <insert vehicle's name here>'' and keep on blabbering like immature people. being a hilux owner, i would say that the strada is no pushover and i even have high praises for it. just like i said, it's a matter of choice or preference.

my dad owns a 2007 3.2L Mitsubishi Strada and 2007 Hilux and so far between the two, i prefer the strada more for the ff reasons:

1. with the 3.2L mas mabilis ang hatak at matulin compared to the hilux
2. mas masarap idrive
3. di gaano makaldag especially when you go on long travels
4. dashboard is elegant especially when you get the blue strada which resembles the blue meter cluster
5. looks is better than hilux in my opinion

only advantage for hilux is high resale value...

You can also try the new facelifted D-MAX. But if you are choosing between the Hilux and the Strada, I will definetly choose the Hilux because of it's good resale value, the quality. The Strada is also good but for me it's over styled.

Before buying my Hilux, I considered muna yung Strada GLS. it it a good buy for a pick-up but it lacks some of my criteria and its overstyled for me, so I choosed the Hilux.

My ride is an 18 yr. old Hi-lux, so far walang problema. Ni-regear ko ung differential from an 80 model Hi-ace, so far smooth running ung regear ko. Imagine tatay ko owns an AUV using surplus drivetrain of Hi-ace with 400K on the clock, wala pa rin problema differential. 2 times na nagbaba ng makina pero hindi pa rin nagpapalit ng axle bearing. That AUV was carrying at least 5 persons (average) daily with additional tools and equipment. Imagine ung 3rd member (differential carrier assy) ng Hi-lux na Model 1969 can still be used on a 2007 D4D na Fortuner ngayon. Ganun katibay at reliable ang Hi-lux. Kung sa tagtag naman na sinasabi nila ewan ko baka naman sabi lang yon, coil-over na ung bagong Hi-lux diba? At yung leaf spring 48 inch ang haba nun ah.

Silverend, I agree with your descripstion.... additional to Hi-lux as described by the Americans "Bullet-proof". Take note that the new Hi-lux share the same flatform as the TUNDRA and T-100....kahit na made in Thailand both H-lux and D-max, Toyota at Izusu pa rin yan........ Pag made in the Philippines ba yan, hindi natin bibilin? Comment lang ha!

Try to compare your 18 y.o. Hilux and the New Hilux...

IMO, overstyles ang Strada para sa iba. But still it meets the needs of what pcik-up buyers need. Better ang "over" compared sa kulang at mahal pa.

And Imo, using old parts also exist on new vehicles. Take the Easy Select 4WD of Mitsubishi as an example which is dated back on the first 1982 Pajero.

Another example, the Mitsubishi reigns on its own. Take a look at this Dodge R50. I still see a fresh one in Bukidnon despite of all that farm work. This Dodge Ram 50 is identical to the L200 of Mitsubishi, only less popular.



And talking about Hiaces... We have one, our L300 is pretty much more reliable which served us for more than 10 years. Now it's still running by a new owner. I only wished I was already taking care of it rather than my father who used the van in carrying dumptruck size tires, pipes, hollow blocks, transmissions, glasses, medical equipments, whatever...

I remember that model. Dodge Ram 50 won the comparison over the Izusu P-UP (2nd), Toyota Hi-lux (3rd) and Datsun Pick-up. Published 1980 by "Pick-up, Van, 4WD" magazine, 4WD mini-trucks comparison. I agree with you....That's a nice truck

well as far as experience is concerned un strada ok po tlga un rides but i agree when it comes to its utilities i prefer hilux as you can see in our area wlang strada na gnagmit un mga amerikano na VFA dto and un mga tga UN ......and resell value ng hilux is higher than strada...... un lubak ng daan eh nsa paglaro na ng suspension nyan mam upgrades will help it.....
