I read somewhere before that there is a correlation between price and complaints. The more premium, the higher the rate of complaints. This probably applies to this survey which was conducted in the UK. Buyers of premium priced Euro cars are more affluent and will speak their minds out the moment they notice any issues with their vehicles. Whereas buyers of more popularly priced vehicles tend to have modest incomes and can be more forgiving with the issues their vehicles may have.

YUP, reliable at durable mga Isuzu engines chief!!

Other than the 1981-designed Isuzu 2.8-litre 4B Aywan chief hehe, the other most popular Sarao engines include also the 1980-designed 3.3-litre 4BC1 and the 1979-designed 3.9-litre 4BD1.

I have ridden in newer jeepneys with the 4JB1 engine, and also an aircon jeepney with the 4HF1 engine. Iba talaga kapag bagong makina, ang layo sa mga 4Bxx engines in terms of smoothness of operation. Pero yung mga 4BC1 o 4BC2 ang lakas humatak!

I have noticed though that Fuso engined jeepneys (usually 4DR5 or 4DR7) are much more quiet and exhibit much lesser vibration as compared to their Isuzu counterparts.

Buhay na buhay pa rin mga lumang makina na ito that one can trace as far back as 1979 - may 4-wheel drive ang 3.9-litre 4BD1 chief kaya gusto nila as rugged talaga, pang-harabas....

WOW boss GTi!!

Umakyat kami doon noong December 2010, kino-concrete mga ibang road-sections that time.... Dala ko si D-max.

    Cheers!

Hahaha!~ Noo... I just happened to visit the mine a couple of times. Almost no private cars traverse the area. The path that leads to its entrance is unpaved and very, very steep. Medyo nahirapang umakyat na yung Trooper 4x2 namin. Yung Starex (Club A/T turbo intercooler) na kasama namin, natakot baka di kayaning umakyat, bumaba ang nakasakay at nilakaran nila yung steep part. Mabuti't nakaakyat siya. It would seem that both cars took full advantage of the LSD.

Actually, di ko pa napuntahan yang Voice of America. Di ko nga alam yan eh. Makitanong nga on my next trip, whenever that may be.

Haha~ I cannot really say anymore exactly how steep it is since I failed to take a picture. Also I was not the one driving at the time. Basta naalala ko matarik yan. Most likely similar to the path in the picture you took with the 300+tkms RHD company D-Max.

And since a 4x2 Starex A/T turbo intercooler (LSD equipped) was able to climb (albeit with an empty load), under dry conditions, I suppose a manual pickup should be able to climb that.
