*TS: For the criteria na safe ride and best fuel mileage cocomply ang Isuzu D-Max. It does have airbags and ABS/EBD, so I'd say it'll qualify for the "safe" criteria. Gas mileage is exceptionally good especially considering that this is a 3.0L engine. 8-10km/L city driving is not unheard of with this engine. And then again, don't be fooled the modest power figures as this ain't no slow-ass pickup. I have trailed a D-Max once from Quirino Ave, through Nagtahan, until Lacson Ave with our 2.4 Accord. Boy was it fast! There were many instances wherein I had to floor the gas to keep up with him.

If you want a comfortable pickup though, better go with the Strada. It has significantly lesser bed space though.
