June 14th, 2012 01:58 PM #1hi guys...
grabe at hirap mag decide talaga...hehe
i owned a toyota altis 03 model but i like to upgrade to newer model. First reason, simply like to have newer and updated car.
2nd reason, fuel consumption. With my altis, i have about 9km per liter. Gusto ko talaga maka tipid sa gas ngayon. Tipong 16km per liter.
Now, downgrading my vehicle's size from altis to:
1. picanto 2010
2. vios 2007-08 (batman look)
3. honda city 2007-08
With the value of my car about 250-350k, above cars are my options. What do you think guys?
actually, 3rd reason, my gf broke with me and i like to rid memories. Diba, with new car, new life dinhehe

June 14th, 2012 03:13 PM #31. Newer can be more updated, but not necessarily more reliable (lalo kung 2nd hand). Yung 03 Altis mo, assuming it's well maintained can give you years of worry-free driving than let's say a 2008 Vios na never nagpa maintenance.
2. 16KM per liter? You may want to be looking at an Alto. The Vios and the City will never return that kind of fuel economy when your Altis on your normal route gives you 9KM/L.
3. I suggest to keep the car and your money assuming you've kept it in good condition.
4. Kapag new car pero new headaches - wag nalang. Bagong cellphone nalang o tablet para mawala yung ex memories hehe.

Suggest ko TS (if your Vios is well maintained and wala problema) Change color na lang and modify a little para new look and new life too! Congrats on your freedom!

New picanto feels like an economy car vs your altis. Lahat ng interior surfaces matigas. Hehe. And the insulation level is lower than the altis. Uou can hear the tire roar and wind noise.
But it does the job. No idea on economy. It was a matic and i drive it like a maniac.

June 14th, 2012 09:00 PM #10If you want to save lots on gas, I'd suggest you get the GD Jazz iDSI M/T. Not the CVT due to possible reliability issues. It's better looking than the City, even thriftier than the Vios, and even though it lacks power, it is at least faster than the Picanto.
Another option you have would be to get a diesel vehicle. P10/L difference is a lot. You don't have to be getting 16km/L to be able to save more on fuel. Though I'm quite positive such cars as the Accent, Getz and Matrix CRDi should be able to achieve this on a light foot. Devilishly fast too. What do you think?
Probably looks like a Coke sakto. Yes, where did you buy it?
