Gusto mo tipid at practical? Kuha ka ng mga Revo/Adventure/Crosswind. M/T diesel para todo tipid. These may not necessarily be more fuel efficient than your Altis in terms of km/L (except, perhaps, for the Crosswind which should be able to match it, or even exceed by a little bit) but the P10/L difference between gas and diesel spells a very big difference. Since they are all old school diesels, maintenance is really cheap. It may actually be even cheaper than that of your Altis. Parts are cheap and easy to find, and any person who can call himself a mechanic knows how to tinker with it.

Want even more drastic fuel efficiency sipping P40/L diesel at a constant 10++km/L in city driving? Then the Accent/Getz/Matrix CRDi it is. This means more expensive maintenance though. But since there are now lots of Accent CRDi's as cab service, parts should get cheaper and more abundant. There would also be more mechanics who would be more well versed with the otherwise extremely modern engine.
