Santa Fe and CRV are CUVs (Cross-over utility vehicles) not SUVs (Sport Utility Vehicles).

in my view, SUV refers to a mode of use and not design... 'most any vehicle can be used for sport as well as for utility.
SUVs use a body on ladder-frame chassis much like trucks, while CUVs use a unibody frame like sedans.

so the latest generation Pajero is actually a crossover

Yan ang appeal ng Innova and other similar vehicles, IMO. Yan din ang hanap ko kaya 1st and then 2nd gen Innova binili ko.
ito din reasoning ko noon. I think may mga post pa ako for those na naghahanp ng 90's car, suggestion ko was to always look for a car na may ladder frame.

pero fast forward to 2024... I realized na an "unmaintained car" kahit ladder frame or monocoque pa yan will have the same issues later.

    pareho lang silang kakalawangin

it would be nice if we espied one being sold by an aficionado who took honest care of it...

L300 matibay, tsaka ibang trucks jan tulad ng isuzu elf. Yun nga lang mga pang-delivery sila. 😁

Relatively speaking, hindi masyado problema kalawang sa atin, unless kung taga Navotas or Malabon ka.

I am more particular sa reliability and robsutness ng suspension parts.... within reason, of course. MPVs, by their classification, pwede pang pamilya, pang-cargo minsan, and specifically in my case, pang daily commute sa office.

Last year 1st time na refurbished ang suspension bushings.
    1 set shock absorbers.
Original pa din daw AC at cooling system. Wala pang napalitan, linis lang.

Yeah madaming unibody SUVs that are very durable. Pajero 3rd and 4th gen, L322 Range Rover and Discovery series 3 and up, new Defender, WJ Jeep Cherokee, Nissan Pathfinder among others.

All are known as good offroaders and the bumps of Metro Manila roads are no sweat.

We jumped to a mid-size SUV when our kiddo squad hit three. Room for days, plus fold-flat seats for weekend gear hauls. Swerte ko lang that I got a sweet deal with good AC and leather trims hehe
