lancer evolution vs subaru impreza [MERGED]

just parked side by side a blue subaru impreza wrx sti just this morning. astig din dating nya. naalala ko yung evo5 na dinadrive ko d2 few years ago(til early 2005).....ganda yata nila tignan na magkatabi no?hehehehe!
although lumang evo n yn compared to the new wrx sti....
both are japanese made and have a long history of rally rivalry..

ganyan mismo yung blue..few mos ago 2 white nman nakatabi ko....gawain ko yn..pagpapark ako sa mga malls hahanap ako ng cool cars n tatabihan....kaya nagmumukhang bulok oto ko.

but i saw on espn 2 weeks ago...its not the WRC though....just between evo8 and impreza somewhere in UK.both have 5-6 entries having 12 legs of mud, dirt and terrain driving...not a single leg subaru won over evo8....di ko kasi naumpisahan tsaka mandarin yung commentary...timputong!!

evo din ako lalo na ung 4 to 6. ung 7 and 8 parang pantay lang sa sti. tapos ung latest na sti. ayoko ng front lalo na ung grille!

I like Evo 9 better, but it's hard to tell it from an Evo 7. The triangle grille of the Evo 8 has been thankfully abolished. The Impreza's new front end reminds me of the old Ford Edsel.



It's also ironic that the Evo normally beats the Impreza in rallying, but it's the latter that's still in the pinnacle of rough road racing, WRC. Mitsubishi withdrew their participation in the sport along with Peugeot and Citroen.

Evo for me. Obsessed with team ralliart since my teens hehe. Ewan ko ba.

Not sure with the late models, pero sa top gear dati, the evo was quicker with the electronic stability doodads turned on.
