that's BS the packs are black boxes you can't do maintenance on them

hybrids don't chill their batteries w/ the a/c so the PH's heat will degrade them faster. i'd stay away from hybrids
technically, hybrid models are already outselling their petrol counterparts in Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia

I honestly don't remember the last time I saw a brand new Honda City in Singapore (I feel that Singaporeans are only buying the Grace)

    We'll get there soon.

i'd rather get all-electric. i already got 2 e-bicycles and one e-motorcycle. not interested in hybrids too complex. you get all the complexity of gasoline on top of that all the electric shenanigans, all in one package. twice the sakit ng ulo LOL. the future is all-electric. hybrids are just a temporary stop-gap

near term i could see myself buying a mini electric car like wuling miniEV. then later on something like a tesla model3 when they get cheaper. but definitely not a hybrid unless you don't intend to use it long-term

there is a running joke about so-called "lifetime warranty."
'when the piyeza malfunctions, its lifetime is over.' and so is its warranty.

    and there is this,
"what guarantee do i have, if it breaks in two?"
    'you own both pieces.'
    heh heh.

i stayed the hell away from DCT hahaha. so it's the m/t. i took a cursory glance at the underside of the car, i couldn't find any fill and drain plugs but i'm pretty sure they're in there, probably hidden, so yeah i'll still replace the MTF at year 5 perhaps. coz we all know what "lifetime" means LOL

isn't it the nissan leaf that doesnt have any battery cooling at all? I think i've read somewhere that recommends prius owners to refrain from leaving doors open for long periods of time since the battery fan is shut off anytime a door is opened probably to prevent the fan from ingesting debris.

Innova E (+ reverse camera and sensor, 15K additional from Toyota) - wife loves the fact that the Innova is as tall as her. plus the space. (after seeing the other Innova variants, we feel that the E (+ reverse camera and sensor) is a better deal compared to the G and V.
Agree.

nissan leaf doesn't CHILL the batteries. a tesla has an elaborate cooling system. there are tubes that's like a flat ribbon that snakes around each cell. inside flows chilled water so even the innermost cells get cooled. if kept cool these panasonic/tesla NCA chemistry cells (branded by panasonic as "NCR") can last more than 10yrs. personally i got a bunch of panasonic NCR cells from 10yrs ago that are still doing well. but if there were in a pack that's baking under the sun then they'd be dead by now

anyway... innova vs xpander vs XL7. well innova is a huge car which is great if you're hauling a bunch of folks. if only 1 or 2 person daily drive IMHO it's too unwieldy

xpander cross vs XL7 i'd go w/ the suzuki.
