Congratulations sir !
There may be some negativity about the Accent but always look at what does it give overall, in short, look at the positive outcome/treats that your car is giving.
Wala naman po kasing perfect vehicle. Every car has cons, and these things can range from minor misaligned kits to a major engine-not-running-well problem. Good thing na ganyan lang yung sa Accent and its not that widespread pa, meaning, you might be lucky not to have that.
Dun sa mga nagrereklamo na bakit dito kailangan required pa ng 95+ RON .. arte arte naman. Here's what Im gonna say to you guys, PISO lang difference per liter, wag kayong cheap ! :hysterical: If your car runs well on 93+ RON, then stick with it. If it doesn't, take the next step ... dun ka sa 95+ RON gasoline.
Actually the reason why I'm insisting on fueling up Shell products is because on lots of stations/fuel I've encountered ( Petron Xtra Unleaded & XCS / Caltex Silver & Gold / Flying V AV Gas / SeaOil unleaded / & Shell products .. ) yung Shell lang nakapagbigay sakin ng magandang FC & feel. I dunno why, pero ganun eh. Though my car is different from you guys, I'm sure you will feel the same.
Kaya enjoy your car sir ! Proper break-in is you can breach above 100kph but not above 4k rpm. With this, you can reach the maximum fuel efficiency of your engine when it reaches 1k on the ODO & you will maximize the power allowable.
Goodluck & pics pls. hehe.

hindi ba nareresolve ng shell fuel or ng paglagay ng 95+ RON yung knock ng accent? not really a deal breaker IMO...
pero kung gusto ng buyer safe talaga, he/she might as well wait for the fix from hyundai.
sa mga gusto talaga magtipid, the 97 RON gas from seaoil might probably help to reduce the knock at a price equal to the big 3's regular 93 RON fuel. (55 pesos sa may amin!)

May 24th, 2011 10:31 PM #285Thank you bro... pix to follow soon! Tama bro, the right way to break in our horse is to breach above 100kph but not over 4k RPM.. this is what I did during the break in period... I drove from Tagaytay to Subic and NLEX and SCTEX, superb ang performance ng accent... 140kph bale wala... but the I make sure to it that the RPM wont exceed 4k rpm.... kayang kaya pa tumakbo ng over 140kph pero nasa break in period pa kaya tiis tiis pa ng konti... hehehe!! last May 19, nag change oil na ako after reaching 1k odo reading... now fights na!!!
Happy riding fellow accent owner/users.. we had the right choice!!!!

Shell Unleaded for my 1.4 MT, no knocking, no low power issues... averaging 10 to 11 liters per 100 KM.
The break in was excellent 2,500 rpm up 3,500 rpm during the initial phase at 1000km. 2nd phase up to 3,800 RPM on burst.
Vehicle engine life will depend on the success and your procedure of proper engine break in

December 6th, 2011 07:02 PM #290Very noisy road sound, heard from 60kph and above speed the same with I10 and Elantra.
