To note: the Civic 1.8 5AT has the same or better performance than the 2.0s you've listed.

Civics, whatever variant they are, are really strong cars in terms of acceleration and handling performance. The only car in the segment that's faster than them (now that the Civic 2.0 MT is gone) is, again, the Focus TDCi.

Is this a generalisation that applies to all PHDM Civic generations?

Or is this particular only to all FD variants?
