Gas. Mahirap na kasi ibang gas station lalo na pag out of town ka ay hindi talaga malinis ang diesel.

kung after market performance upgrades... i think pwede ka makakuha but would require a butt load of cash and ma vovoid ang local warranty... would cost 300% more
pero pag porsche performance upgrades like the PDCC. indent order na yung unit.. waiting period is 80-100 days... hahaha
No need for expensive upgrades... chip tune lang, puwede na... and it's not going to cost the moon, since it's basically an Audi engine, anyway. With chip tuning alone, I guess you can expect to raise that 240 to 260-265, which is more than enough.
For the V6, that's something different... don't know if anyone locally can chip-tune the gasoline engine. It should be possible with the Unichip, actually, and I think they can order the Plug and Play harness for you at Speedlab. (SPEEDLAB | The Science of Speed)
If your need for power isn't so great, then maybe a nice, tasty exhaust upgrade (catback lang) would fit the bill... give your Cayenne a little rasp in its voice.![]()
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
Some chip-tuning, more boost on the turbo, a higher-capacity intercooler, a less restrictive intake and another exhaust could really make some miracles. And if included in the original project would even not become too expensive...
in the first place why tune a cayenne, its not gonna be in a track anyway...
Di naman sa ganon... I am merely stating that it is almost insulting that Porsche would release a car with power ratings this low, to the point na naabutan na ng mga Hyundai at Kia. Before there was no such thing as a "slower Porsche". Ibig ko lang sabihin na kung maglalabas sila ng diesel, sana tulad ng mga gas engines nila, it is at the forefront of diesel engine technology and much better than its Audi and VW cousins.
I see your point there. The only thing I have against it is that Porsche just took the engine from the Q7 and Touareg as is in its existing configuration and state of tune and plopped it into their Cayenne which is tarnishing their reputation as a brand that makes purely fast and luxurious cars. And to think also that even in the Q7 and Touareg, the 3.0V6 TDI is their base engine with there still being a 4.2V8 and 6.0V12 TDI. I hope you see my point here.
I think ang porsche kaya sila gumawa ng Cayenne is they just want to cash in the trend, pera rin yung SUV market. Wala na siguro sila pakialam sa bilis nun in comparison to other Suvs, basta Porsche na SUV kung kaya mo bumili bumili ka, kung nakukupadan ka bili ka 911...Kaya nga yung mga Porsche purists naasar ata dahil sa monstrosity ito para sa kanila, but who cares a company has gotta earn bucksSayang din ang kikitain, pang R&D din yun sa sortscar line nila

Tama! But still... The 340hp 4.2V8 TDI would've been nice, kahit stock form maganda na.![]()
For those who already think 240hp in a Porsche Cayenne is a shame, there were some rumors about a 210hp version (detuned to 180hp to meet Californian CARB regulations and in Switzerland where some city administrations are willing to overtax any vehicle over 200hp) with a 4cyl 2.0L dual-stage turbo bolted to a 7-speed PDK with no option for any manual transmission, according to what a mechanic from a Porsche dealer in Brazil (Eurobike, most exactly the Porto Alegre branch) told me. It was supposed to be targeted to some markets where engines above 2.0L are over-taxed and to help Porsche to meet the CAFE requirements in the United States. It would be really weird to see a 4cyl Porsche, but since the Cayenne is intended to sell the brand itself more than anything it wouldn't surprise me so much...
Well... Porsche did the 914 and 924 in four-cylinder form.
The Cayenne is, and always has been, a cash cow for Porsche. All that matters to them is that they sell scads of them, so that they can keep developing new 911s.
That's not to say that it's a garbage car. Far from it... the luxury level of even the most basic Cayenne blows away the Mercedes-Audi-BMW contingent.... and the off-road performance of the Cayenne is pretty good. But still, if we're talking diesels, there are much better buys in the class simply because Porsche doesn't see fit to offer a competitive option.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
As far as the 924 goes, it was fitted with a modded version of VW/Audi EA-827 engine.
There are even some rumors about an upcoming new flat-4 turbocharged engine for the Boxster and the Cayman.
Better buys in the class? OK, but it's more matter of status than reason...That's not to say that it's a garbage car.
Ah... but buying the lowest rung Porsche Cayenne doesn't make you cooler than the guys who bought the more common competitors... it just makes you less cool than the guy who bought the faster Porsche.
Same argument against buying a 116i or a B-Class, really.![]()
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
I agree, cash cow yan and for majority of buyers of this car, the prestige of being abe to buy a Porsche is enough. Kantiwan moman sila dahil mabilis Mohave /Veracruz mo, they'll just say "if you really want a race, bring me a Korean car that can smoke my Porche Carrera GT"!
It's not really about speed na for most. Only the purist raise hell about it IMO.
