For that, you get weight savings. Remember that bigger isn't always better (for some it is though.. like how I always wanted a 1500HP 2JZ engine). Hell, Lotus' entire philosophy is simply slapping a 300-500HP engine inside a lightweight chassis and making it go crazy fast. Once you check under the hood, all you see is a turbo'ed Camry engine powering a weight just under 2 tons in most cases.

Mazda 1.5 MT ba bro? Sarap niyan. It is a mini sports car, ika nila. Bilis ng arangkada at very good handling.

Is doing I/H/E really worth it sometime down the like? It sounds like a fun DIY job to try...

And I found this as inspiration for future turboness xD

I/H/E would affect the responsiveness of the engine but I don't think that it will give a big bump in the power considering the 1.3 engine. To get its real benefits get a tune for it (also for protection against running lean) . If your'e planning on installing a turbo sir, make sure that the modifications that you'll be installing would be to that route... mahirap na madouble ang gastos. But for the price of a turbo set up, some people would opt for a change engine.

I suppose IHE is the first step. But even with all three combined, there would be but a small increase when installed in a normally aspirated, garden variety engine. If the state of tune of that 205hp Jap Mazda 2 is your target, I wonder how much of the stock internals you will have to replace...

If you don't already know this, perhaps this would be a good read. http://www.speedlab.com.ph/index.php...harge-your-car

The way the Mazda2 motor is built, it seems like the main restriction is in the head and cams. I/H/E will give you some power, but not a whole lot. A chip should help unlock more, but that's a lot of money for not a lot of motor.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Merong 1.5 M/T na Jazz? A/T lang naman meron pag check ko sa Honda.

Anyway took delivery earlier. Okay pa naman saking yung 85 hp, learn proper driving technique muna bago mag power upgrades ^^.

As far as I can see the only difference between mine and the 1.5 AT Hatch are:
    -engine/transmission
    -steering wheel trim
    -steering wheel controls
    -side indicators
    -alloy wheels
    -sideskirts/spoiler

    674k yung kuha ko nito.

Perhaps the first upgrade should be the wheels. Steel rims and hub cabs yun diba? Wider rubber would be nice.

Go directly to their plant. More selections and you can test fit as many as you want. It's more expensive than their dealers though.

You're looking at around >40K per set. As you should know by now, the price differs on their product range and size. 18s are usually going for around 34-37k so expect 16s to be a tad bit lower. Replicas from known brands such as Rays, Volks, etc. also falls within that price range.

I also wouldn't scrimp out on tires too. Pricey, but you'll see more of a handling gain there (ex. better grip) than the weight savings of the rims. You'll have to do a balancing act on grip, durability, and cost there.
