The car was a 2001 City TypeZ.. D13B4 D-series engine so no i-DSI or VTEC.

Not in EDSA, sa Visayas to so 2 lane lang yung roads, so oncoming lagi yung overtake. Nakakatstress kapag hindi humahatak kahit 40kph * 2000 rpm.

Turbodiesel maka max power lang kapag nakaspool yung turbo. Kahit yung Hyundai CRDi ngayon may lag pa minsan kahit variable geometry turbo.

The GC can prolly hit 100 in 6th gear at more or less 1000RPM.

Here's one solicited advice, learn and know your vehicle well and spend time with it. The Jazz/City can hit 100kmh easily. I dont understand why youre having problems with it, but anyway.

Know the sweet spot of your ride.

    I had a jazz 2005 1.3m/t
I sold it & nagsisisi ako.. Kasi super love ko yun. Dami mods.. Like intake(k&n drop in) exhaust (hks bolt on orig) & a custom 3-y header.. Mabilis naman mag 100.. Kahit 120 pa nga eh..

For a 750k you could always buy a fresh 2nd hand honda sir..

    Pm me if interested hehehe

Mas mahirap ba mag mod ng suspension compared to engine mods? Para kasing magandang option yung Accent HB due to the engine itself then mod ko na lang yung otherwise crappy suspension niya. As for the turbo lag, I tried an Accent 1.5 CRDI before and hindi naman masyado ramdam yung turbo lag on first gear tapos 3k shifting on the rest of the gears were happy-hormone producing, paano pa kaya pag 6MT na tulad nung sa Accent HB? Its peak torque is maintained at around 1800-2600RPM so 3k shifting on the 6MT will I guess keep you in the spool zone?

Tapos it will be an entirely different story pa if you chip your engine and apply water-alcohol injection and other boost thingamajigs.....

Accent CRDi ayaw mo bro? 768k SRP for the base M/T variant. Very easy to squeeze more power without having to spend too much, and will still give you good gas mileage. You also get the bonus of added safety features like driver's airbag and 4 wheel discs with ABS.

Or if you want to fiddle around a lot, maybe you'd prefer the new 1.4L Kappa Accent 6MT. With the lower purchase price, you get more budget for mods. The 1.2L Kappa Rio had great reviews, so this one should be better. You'd probably be focusing more on the suspension with this though.

Sir, I don't get to keep the change for mods. Pero while applicable pa yung warranty cosmetic lang muna, so mas maganda pag ok ang handling in stock form.

The 1.6CRDi is a U-series engine, more related with the 1.5L in the old Accent CRDi and the 1.7L in the new Kia Carens.

Turbocharged ba to or naturally aspirated?

Nvm, turbocharged pala.

Short or long trips, basta na-spool yung turbo parati, kailangan i-cool down yun.

Unless kaya ni TS wag i-spool yung turbo for the last 2-5 minutes ng byahe, i-cool down niya na para sure.

It depends on how to define fun to drive.

Performance and handling: ill get the jazz fiesta or lancer ex

    Gadgets, bells and whistles: elantra.

Well, went out and reserved the Mazda over the Ford despite the 25 hp deficit.
