Dinig ko before 1.3M may nagsabi 1.5M. Tanong mo na lang kaya sa HANS Motors kasi may nakita ako noon may sticker nila. OT na tayo magagalit na moderator sa atin

Lets not turn this into diesel vs diesel by each of the company, although this will favor isuzu and its not a myth... But this is not based on the surplus engines that the 80s generation of jeepneys and buses have, dahil sila lang ang widely available surplus noon, pero dahil sa reliability ng engine nila. We had 10 jeepneys before, 6 having isuzu and 4 having the 4DR series of mitsu and both of them were reliable performers but mitsus diesel bogged down earlier (and frequently) than that of the isuzus.

Regarding diesel experience/technology, toyota has hino, mitsubishi always had Fuso, and nissan has, well, nissan diesel and isuzu have isuzu, kaya technology wise, walang maiiwanan.

    OT na ako...
Zpurs, i suggest you try them both, both drivers and passengers point of view. Not sure about Sorento but my uncle who had several generations of pajero and land cruisers opted to skip the gen3 pajero and latest prado says a lot (not saying that this SUVs are not good, medyo mataas ang price range nila), and he had his for over 2 years now and no complaints.

Kaya IMO , dapat it should be the other way around, why compare Sorento sa Fortuner? Okay lang ba sila? Anong awards ba meron ang Fortuner to support his performance and reliability? Yang kapirasong logo ...peace

Sir kung pang harabas at pang kargada pala purpose mo, I'd go for leaf springs. Mas matibay to maski puno ng pasahero at cargo; idaan mo pa sa puro lubak or rough road.

Just think of the cargo jeeps from the provinces going to Manila. Now this is not comparing those vehicles from Alterra or Fortuner. Syempre malayo. What I'm saying is just think of the durability with comfort on the leaf springs-equipped vehicle.

Meron na po. 2006 model with woodgrain panels daw sabi ng agent ko. Isuzu invited some press people to test the new 4x4 going up and down on all terrain in Pinatubo about 2 months ago.

I think performance wise maganda ang Fortuner,
but I think Toyota had a problem on quality underneath this Fortuner.

The 3.0 D4D engine is relieable in terms of "power" but have issues dealing with diesel here in the Philippines or maybe the engine is really not ready for public consumption.

A lot have bought the Fortuner because of its low price considering it a 4X4 and the name/manufacturer has always been a trusted company!

Let's face it, overall Fortuner is not a good buy!
