relationship is not all about who earns the most i believe. 101% Chekwa ako and he is Pinoy, dyan pa lang nahihirapan na ako to prove to my family na ok sya. Pero he is very patient, very loving and most of all hindi sya humihingi sa akin ng pera or anything. It's just that his profession for the past 4-5 years is being a driver sa mga offices in Makati and hotels. Kung san sya magaling yun din naisip ko na best way to level up his profession. It's not like I'm paying for the car, he will have to exert effort in helping out the monthly amortization else minus points yan sa family ko. Marami na rin naman sya naisip sideline if ever we will have our own car. Sometimes my uncle will asked him to drive our LC during the weekend to test him lang. Hindi sa wala kami driver, pogi points na nya yun sa family ko.

anyways, sabi ng Grab baka hindi pwede Jazz or Fiesta for Grab Car, but uber is okay. I don't use Uber so I'm not sure kung ma uber mga tao or Grab.

madam, why not ask those who are already in the grab or uber business? i believe there is one in here somewhere. just use the built-in search engine.
you know... what car is allowed.. what car for the best service and the least maintenance.. and of course... what is the financial picture? get rich quick ba, o kayod kalabaw, just to make the monthly installments?
re. creature comfort, i am biased towards nissan. almera.

^Nissan Almera yun gamit ko for my driving lesson. Ang bigat ng clutch. hahaha..

Anyways, Jazz na lang siguro kunin ko or maybe Avanza? During the weekend we are going to use it sometimes sa sideline namin. I'm very active sa mga Chinese websites and I thought of doing some pick-up hatid sundo airport, Manila sightseeing for some Mainland Chinese families visiting Manila. lalo na mga mahilig sa casinos. hahahaha...

Pero Avanza sana tangapin ng uber or grab. check ko now.

^dr. d, I'm not sure if you should take my opinion re the pedal to be matigas sa Almira. Take note, it's the first car I ever drive and it's used for my driving lesson. I enrolled sa driving school kasi. Also when seated kelangan ko medyo mataas kunti para ma view yun road infront of me. I'm quite short myself 5'1 lang ako. hehehe..

Anyways. I just talked to my bf and I told him sa mga na read ko on the internet medyo mag mumukha sya taxi driver if he will be committed to pay for the monthly amortization. So we talked about the sideline as well. If a group of Chinese tourists arrives, usually mga 5-6 yun or more. So I need a bigger car. naku! baka mapa Grandea ako ng di oras.. pero that is out of the question. If it's going to be used for Grab/Uber and tourist sideline, I should get a bigger car like Toyota Innova or Avanza. Innova is more than 1M and Avanza is 800k yata. Avanza is for people who can't afford Innova, well yun nakasulat sa review eh. pero kung practical lang naman looking into 5-7 years term, sa tingin nyo ba marami na sira yun Avanza in less than 5 years? durability, ok kaya yun Avanza like kung nabanga sa puno or sa poste? hehehe...

Can never go wrong with an innova. What's your target market sa sideline? Also, If you're going to apply for Grab, just get an avanza IMO. Parang taxi na lang ang grab na tied up with the app.

I have a lady friend like you, 100% chinese who has a pinoy bf. Guy's responsible and a good man though. Took them around 5 years before formally introducing themselves to the girl's family.

the innova was initially designed over the imv platform shared by the fortuner and the hilux.
they're trucks in disguise, po. matibay. save for the shocks, my 2005 innova still has its original suspension and steering parts.
and the diesel MT has beautiful fuel efficiency.

the avanza... is not a toyota! it's a daihatsu. for whatever suggestions it suggests.
except for my colleague's complaint re. the 7 km/li offered by his AT avanza, i kinda like the vanzy.

from your posts it feels like you are partial to the avanza already. no worries, the avanza shares the same engine/transmission with the vios so durability-wise, 'toyota' pa rin yan at least on the powertrain side. and if yung purpose is to load it often, surely mas-tatagal to compared sa monocoque options. mabigat lang kaha for the engine so may penalty sa fuel consumption. If for tourists tapos if 5-6 or more, masikip na avanza kung plus luggage pa. although kahit innova naman masikip pa din same conditions, you get more space though. Pansin ko sa airport taxis(other than vioses) mostly innovas so that i guess speaks for itself. Ok na din naman itsura ng latest avanza unlike yung plain previous gen.

also, you might want to consider the ertiga. comparable price to the avanza pero less utilitarian ang dating. left-field choice would be the crosswind. very utilitarian and very crude pero kalabaw. should last you more than the projected 5 years with the projected use. uv express nga 10yrs old+ na overloaded araw-araw buhay pa rin.

**unsolicited advice, it might help with the family if medyo low-key yung vehicle. if you will be paying for it (mostly), surely a jazz would raise more eyebrows compared to the avanza, everyone knowing that he will drive it more often than you.

    good luck!
