June 8th, 2003 12:27 PM #37If you are talking about safety the Escape ranks as the worst in its category "Small Utility Vehicle" The Escape should be called "NO ESCAPE." As a matter of fact the RAV4 is not much higher. I think safety is a huge factor for me, especially with the way i drive and for those with families.
Check out the crash test rankings:

As for the motioncars review, i think its very objective. Unless of cource your an escape owner. One thing is for sure, the CRV is a lot more than people perceive and the Escape is not all it appears to be. The Escaoe is a re-badged MAZDA and how many sucessful re-badged models have there been?

i'd easily take the RAV4 over the local escape and cr-v...
btw, the escpae is not a rebadged Mazda. you could just as easily argue that the Mazda Tribute is a rebadged Escape, point being, the badge doesn't really matter in evaluating the merits or drawbacks of the vehicle.

I keep on thinking bakit pag sinabing gawa ng Pinas or any other SE country mas maganda pa ang producto na galing sa Japan.
In case my maka-lusot they scrutinize kung bakit, plus profound brain storming na mangyari before they resume assembly. The customer have power to hold purchase orders pag risky talaga ang complain. Assuming na yung HQ ng company allowed Pinas to build there stuff. I believe na there is a such thing na white paper na yung sub-con/facility will adhere the company quality & integrity to protect there reputation....... IMO
Parang 1999 ata last year ng 4wd variant sa taiwan(LHD) so baka subic na yan narito saatin
