April 28th, 2015 09:53 PM #1Im not really concerned with the long term maintenance of ford having owned a focus in the past. I just feel the higher ground clearance gives it a slight edge over the mobilio with the flooding we have in the metro every rainy season. However, the extra space in the mobilio gives it an edge in that area too plus the resale value of honda is definitely higher than that of ford.

March 13th, 2017 03:41 PM #4I would go for the Ecosport in terms of it's SUV like looks and high ground clearance/water wading. But practicality wise I would indeed go for the Mobilio. It's also more powerful than the Ecosport.

Be careful with Ford's claim of water wading capability of Ecosport. They might use it in the future against you to void your claim against their faulty transmission. Ford replaced the TCM for free because the car was was shuddering and not able to reverse. After 1 month same thing happens. Then Ford is now charging 14500 for labor for pull down transmission. And when they opened the transmission they are charging 76500 for 2 shift forks and release bearings. They showed the transmission where the insides were full of rust. They said it is caused sa paglusong sa baha. To think that they were advertising the Ecosport having 550mm wading height. I answered if it's baha why then other components are not affected by floodwaters. Then they said that it might be to tilamsik of rainwater. To think that the Dry type DCT250 should be sealed for 10 years and Ford in other countries has extended the warranty for transmission for 7 years. Here its a robbery.

Since you mentioned wife and kids and sometimes lola. The Honda Mobilio is no doubt a more family vehicle compared to the eco-SPORT.
From ************...
The all-new Honda Mobilio is offered in the following variants: 1.5 E M/T (P 807,000), 1.5 V CVT (P 877,000), and 1.5 RS Navi CVT (P 967,000). It comes in a wide variety of colors from Alabaster Silver (all variants), Taffeta White (V CVT and E M/T), Crystal Black Pearl (RS Navi CVT and V CVT), Sunset Orange (RS Navi CVT), and White Orchid Pearl (RS Navi CVT, + P20,000). Although it’s not as ***y as an NSX, it does contain the very same Honda engineering DNA that’s often set their products apart. This new offering is set to widen their market reach in the Philippines, since they’re entering the entry-level seven-seater utility vehicle for the very first time. However, they’ve done so without compromising on performance, engineering, and safety. It’s certainly going to be a game-changer in more ways than one.

April 29th, 2015 09:19 PM #9Hrv is an option but heard from an insider that this will be priced at more than 1M alreadynwhich is above my budget.
Innova is not an option since we have a montero already. I just need a smaller suv/muv type of vehicle for daily driving.

Generally speaking sa lahat ng liquid tire sealant.... Not advisable. Pwede as an emergency last...
