wow! may pictures pa. thank you thank you. mukhang eto nga malamang pagpipiliian ko.
More power = lesser load.
It's that simple.
Kung gusto mo ng example, sige, yung air-con.
If you'll be buying a .8HP aircon & fit it in a large room thinking that it would consume less electricity then you're definitely wrong. Your air-con would overwork for it to meet the " standards " of the said enclosed place. Hence, more electricity is consumed. If the horsepower is upgraded to 1 or 1.5HP, then, the air-con wouldn't overwork as it has more power than what is needed. Same thing goes with the Altis, with more horsepower & torque, the lesser " job " it needs to perform since its power is more than enough than what is needed. Hence, fuel efficiency gets better.
Hi SG. Eto ba yung accent gls blue? Actually, ang tagal kong pabalik balik sa hyundai site for the accent gls blue. I looked at the price and pasok. Also checked the features it has and napawow rin ako.
The only thing for me really that might really sway mo is the fuel economy nalang talaga. so far, kita ko sa other threads ang FC ng 1.4 MT and AT, pero la pa sa GLS blue. If meron kayo idea, Id love to hear it. I think hyundai quality has risen na so its very attractive for somebody like me na limited ang budget.
Mismo. Kasi the 1.4 is more than enough kung city driving lang with occasional highway drives.
The 1.6 Blue has better power to weight ratio than the 1.4, it might give better or just the same FC with the 1.4 A/T. My friend in HARI tested the 1.6 Blue in highway drives, it easily obtained 19km/L in controlled condition like constant 80km/h speed. Then the average city driving is 8.5km/L to 10.5km/L. Decent enough. Power is adequate.
The DVVT-i means that both intake & exhaust has variable valve timing. As compared to the older version ( like yours ) the engine variable valve timing works on the intake side only. Concept wise, it really does translate to better fuel economy with more power. & of course, with better bragging rights/pogi points especially if matched with the 6-speed MT transmission that the Corolla has which translates on the other hand to longer gear ratio. Because, as we all know, if we run at a lower rpm, lesser fuel is consumed & having an extra gear makes us to reach the preferred speed ( like 80kph ) at a lesser RPM rate.
yun lang yun... i asked how because i dont know how. simple... 6 speed ba lahat ng altis na bago?
EDIT: since dual vvti na, makakahabol na ba sa civic 1.8?

TS if manual get the altis na... the fc pala is not that far na from the honda city.
kahit matic ill stick sa altis on this because of the comfort driving.
Thanks SG, Im strongly thinking about this 1.6 blue, it would be one of the cars i would visit sa mga showroom nila. I've read the engine knock issue and sabi naman dun yung 1.4 minsan ang affected but mostly due to the fuel. And even then na fix naman yata with the right fuel applied so for me the Accent is still very attractive. Saka yung 1.6 di ko pa naririnig na may knock issue so its a plus, although that could be because most picked the 1.4 than the 1.6.
In your opinion SG, yung difference na 120,000 between 1.4 and 1.6 na accent, bawi ba ni accent in terms of features, performance, etc.? Natanong ko lang kasi, Ive read that some of the owners changed their tires for the 1.4 to bigger 16' ones. So there is the added cost. You know a lot about this, so I do respect your opinion on the matter.
Aba, congrats. Mauunahan mo pa ako nito im sure. If that be the case balitaan mo naman ako. Salamat ulit sa info. Pagiisipan ko maigi between Accent variants, Jazz variants, Altis, and City variants.
