I won't buy it kung kumakain ng langis or mausok na. I also check if it can still idle at recommended rpm.
These are indications of possible piston ring or valve problems.
I don't just start it up for a few minutes. I let it run and test drive it to check possible problems like overheating, suspensions, steering, etc.

i don't know why... but if i start it and it can't idle for a few minutes.. i tell myself there's something wrong with it..
and i walk away.
