We had a 1996 Gli with 160k on the odo sold last year. Wala naman akong naging issue sa electronics since year 2000 when I got the unit with 36k kms.
We have another old corolla model year 2000 (same 4afe engine) that already has 210K+ km on the odo (47K km when I bought it 10 yrs ago) and di pa din nabubuksan engine. It's my weekday car (56km/day)and it still gives good fuel economy.
