My previous Ford was 5k / 3months... as was the TDCi. They were stricter about the TDCi, but they relented when we told them it barely did 5k... a year.

What could justify this change 4 months after i purchased the vehicle and be told that their much advertised 5 year warranty will be voided if i do not follow?
Cite the owner's manual, then if the dealership persists, write a letter to the DTI with a cc: copy to the dealership to shut them up. All dealerships say that warranty hinges on the interval. But if they have no paper documentation in the initial agreement to back it up, they can't enforce it.

Or threaten to change dealerships. There are dealers who like to take advantage of people (note: bad apples for Honda, Toyota and Ford, too). That doesn't mean all of them do.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

E kaso nga hindi naman yung dealer ang problema, HARI ang nag-dictate ng change sa pms schedule at naniniguro sila na walang masisirang engine within that 5 years.

I know there are hyundai dealerships out there that say that they do not follow the 3 month rule, only the 5000km. What guarantee do they offer that HARI will still honor the warranty when and if ever there will be a warranty claim? Will they do the repairs for free if HARI refuses to do so? I seriously doubt it.

I already changed dealerships. It's called Kia xxx. Mura na ang PM wala pang corkage sa parts. And the customer is always right!

    Fukc HARI!

iirc, the OP got a good deal on a cx9. i recall he switched from the current santa fe or trailblazer because of the long wait. thats why his priority is low running costs both on fuel and pms. the mirage fits the bill perfectly. hindi maarte ang mitsu valle verde sa pms sched - just follow your odometer reading. of course wag naman over a year for 5k. you can also use your own oil and filter without any corresponding corkage fee. you can cancel service add ons like engine flush etc. its a 5 year warranty that doesnt actually suck to keep maintaining your car sa casa. cheap pms.Â* tipid pa sa gas. mura pa ang unit. they just have to correct that hard starting issue sa cvt versions.

just had my tucson in for 30,000kms a couple of weeks ago. based on the "three month rule", dapat april pa ako nag pa check up. but i average only about 6-7,000 kms per year for my car kaya i got delayed by another three months.

during my 30k check up, i was able to get a warranty claim for a defective part (no questions asked). i also asked them to check and repair a defective fog lamp switch (that i actually added as an accessory bought and installed outside the dealership). they also fixed the problem no question asked (even if technically di dapat to covered ng warranty).

so in conclusion, either i'm really lucky with the service of my casa (hyundai q ave), or maybe i've built a good relationship with them. i think the casa people also size you up if you know what you're talking about, if you take care of your car, or if you're just an arrogant a-hole altogether when you make warranty claims. some just really like to take advantage. i wouldn't really blame HARI for this kasi it's the dealers that make money out of service (if they can get you to pay, why would they do something for free?).

with our previous car (civic FD), i followed the 6 month rule/10,000kms. but i regret doing this because we ended up doing 50,000kms service with only 30,000kms on the odometer. so even with the longer km interval, ended up paying even more (and the car had a lot of problems after warranty ended anyway). So i learned from this and now i'm smarter when it comes to PMS for my car.

btt, among the three i would pick the Accent first with the Jazz second. best value for money hatches i think with enough size and space for a small family.

Every single brand new car we've EVER owned came with a REQUIRED 5,000 km / 3 month service interval. And all of them would nag you on the phone to come in. Except with the CR-V. And even then, the only reason Honda didn't call us every six months was because we did 10,000 kms in just two to three months.

If you think Hyundai is being unreasonable with the 5k / 3mo interval, you've never owned a brand new car before...
just went to hyundai quezon ave. ang sabi sakin hindi naman daw mandatory na every three months ang PMS.. basta daw every 5000kms or 6months...

then yung pms for the 1st 1000kms. and 5000kms is free...
