bwahaha...well said! you can't overrate rarity when talking about prestige or even 'coolness'...there's a good reason why some cars are more rare than others. sometimes it's their price or availability...sometimes it's because they suck ;)

If you would ask me, all these do not REALLY show PRESTIGE. You can't really say that a person is of illustrious reputation when driving a low-end category of a well-known expensive car brand. All these names are said to be expensive but not these choices.

But if you want me to choose, I'd go for the JAG!

No kidding... they're all crap compared to the higher end of the brand (except the 3-series...

And NO, you NEVER buy an X-Type. There's only one Jag worth putting up with the hassles of ownership... an XJ... at least... and if you can afford to sell your kidneys, an XJR.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

this is what i've been saying...if you really scrutinize (and drive) the x-type and s-type, you'll see that they're more Ford than Jaguar. that's not a bad thing necessarily, but you might not be getting what you'd expect (or imagine) a Jaguar to be.

Hehe... too right, you'd be getting a slow front-wheel drive Ford Mondeo instead of a baby XJ. Jag could've done a better job of matching up to the 3-series.

I'd say the Benz although they're fairly common here.

If you want a head turner and make people guess what car is it, get a Maserati. It's rare, even here. Over here, I've only seen 2 so far in my lifetime, both in Las Vegas. I've seen more Lambos and Ferarris than a Maserati.

BMW 3 series is the best car it out sells the C class and MB still can't figure out why. The Jag is a rebadge Ford Mondeo/Contour and is not a true Jag if you ask the Jag collectors, Audi is a rebadge overpriced VW, and the Lexus is just a Toyota Altezza in Japan.

If prestigious meant fast and cool ....then the Mercedes SLR Mclaren is what we're talkin' about.

pinaka prestigious na siguro yung bugatti veyron. even at its price of $1M plus palugi pa rin si VW because the cost of the R&D amortized over the 100 (lang yata) cars manufactured means, each car costs $5M. :P

among the choices, the most prestigous for me is the Mercedes Benz C-Class.

but prestige doesnt mean it is the best in class.

    in ranking:
    *MB C-Class
    *BMW 3-series
    *Jaguar X-Type
    *Volvo S60 (kahit wala)
    *Audi A4
    *Lexus IS
    *VW Passat

I'm pretty sure though na kung impress chicks ang habol, the Jag is the most prestigious.

Kung impress us enthusiasts, yung BMW. But then, ano gagawin ni sir OTO sa impressed boys?...
