Dun ka na sa Carens! The Tucson has an inferior engine and seats two less people. As for the FC, I'd give an estimate of around 9-10km/L for city and 12km/L and above for highway if driven properly. 7-8km/L is for 3.0L midsize SUVs already.

Why not a secondhand Mitsubishi Adventure, or Toyota Innova??? You need space for your future family and both of them have high riding capacity - a plus when you need to go to Camarines Norte.

actually i am single but i am planning to get married this coming years in terms of space its not that significant as long as magkakasya yung 5'11 ko katawan hehehe as to innova yup maganda siya option kaya lang my father already own a innova so magiging dalawa na sila sa bahay kung ung din bibilin ko and as to the mitsubishi advie hindi ko talaga siya specially pag nasa likod ka...

but thank you for the advice, if my father does not own innova it will in the top of my list... anyway our innova is already 6years old and matipid talaga siya sa diesel and very reliable hindi pa nasisira.

Why not consider the Suzuki APV Type II? With that budget, you could already have the 2009 model. Just like this one i found in the classifieds. http://www.ayosdito.ph/APV+SGX+II+MT...944.htm?last=1

Plus matagtag ang Suzuki APV. Pangit ang Innova (too big outside too little inside). Mahina mga Adventure at Crosswind.

Escape? Add mo pa Xtrail. Everest. Kung merong second hand Grand Livina. Fusion. Ok na yung Carens at Tucson. At least these cars have better value.

Without a doubt, the Ford Escape is a very durable and comfortable car. In fact, two members of our family have picked the Escape as their car (one has a forest green 2003 2.0XLT, and another a black 2010 2.3XLS). Both of them are "kaskasero's" and don't care much about their vehicle but the Escapes are very much alive and kicking without skipping a single beat. Its got very cool aircon with lots of space inside, a very comfortable ride and a very robust suspension which is capable of taking on mild to moderate offroading. However, it must be noted that they are quite thirsty and power is not the best in its class. So in the end, I'd still suggest you get the Carens.

Kaya nga we're all suggesting that you go for the Carens. You'd get twice the driving pleasure as compared to a gasoline powered car and who knows? You might just use 100 liters a month!

Carens is also my choice this time.. Gusto ko ito pamalit sa Isuzu SLX namin kaso.... mahal/mataas pa ang asking price ng mga on-line seller, di kaya ng bulsa ko.

I'd go for the Carens for the ff reasons:

    1. The powerful engine will come in handy if the situation arises (i.e overtaking)
    2. Its a CRDI diesel technology
    3. 7 seater
    4. Comfortable ride
    5. Pasok sa transpo allowance (for fuel economy, its just average for this kind of car, hindi matakaw, hindi naman masyadong matipid)

If fuel efficiency with high riding capability is what you need, the Hyundai Tucson and Kia Sportage (with diesel) is ok...
