    hello po,
    need ko kc ng advice since im buying my first car. ang parents ko kc ay gusto nila yun Sportivo M/T(gustong gusto talaga ng mga matanda) tapos ang gusto ko nmn ay Montero Sport 2.5GLX M/T. Wala kc ako sa pinas most of the time tapos once a year lng ako uuwi sa pinas, so parents ko ang gagamit ng sasakyan. I'm also looking for the fuel consumption, safety features at saka looks ng sasakyan.

    also, regarding po sa engine, which one performs better (i.e. madaling masira, common issues, etc.)?

    oo nga eh, nag-away kami ng mama ko kc ayaw makinig. naka-fixed na sa kanilang utak ang Sportivo (magaling cguro yun SA ng Sportivo).

    Syempre Montero! The direct competitor of the Montero is the Alterra and not the Crosswind. Ang competitor ng Crosswind is the Adventure. Sabihin mo mas mataas talaga ang class ng Montero. Tell them to pay a visit to MMPC's showroom and have a test drive. They'd be a convert in no time.

    Meron kaming Crosswind XUV same lang naman sila Sportivo with added features lang. Ang pinaka ayoko dito ay yung mausok, maingay engine, manginig at higit sa lahat matagtag. matipid talga sya pero mas gusto ko pa gamitin yung Accord namin kahit magastos dahil sa long drive bugbog katawan ko.

    Montero is way way better than Sportivo in all aspects.

    sabi kc ng dalawa (mama at papa ko) yun engine daw ng Sportivo ay matibay tapos fuel economy pa. Tapos kung masiraan man, madali lng makahanap ng parts.

    Most people will pick the MS I will go the other way and say Sportivo. WHY?? Its a no brainer at all! Cause that's what your parents want obviously as you said... You use it rarely, they will use it frequently so I think their wants should be more important...

    Sportivo ang bagay sa mga mature people, tamang tama ang space at size para sa needs nila. Masyadong malaki at mabigat ang Monty for your folks, and besides baka ito pa ang pag awayan ng parents mo, bukod kasi sa mga carjackers, akitin din sa chicks ang monty.
