Tama, check the ATF. The last time that happened to me, tumirik yung sasakyan sa EDSA (kumatok na yung transmission). Nung dumating yung Pajero, parang ayaw pa ipahila ng hayop na MMDA. Gusto tow truck pa nila kumuha (may cut kasi sila dun).

mga sir npahiya ako s fren ko dhil s dmax. nirecomend ko ksi sya n bumili ng dmax s isuzu makati ksi mrami nga ngssbi n mganda daw performance at fuel efficient. (Dmax LX 4x2 3.0di A/T) last wik lang lumabas. ngbreakin kmi nung monday goin to lipa batangas, den pgbalik ngtagaytay kmi. dumaan kmi s talisay batangas, sbi ko mpplaban 2ng dmax d2 ksi very steep ang zigzag. anak ng tokwa ndi mkaakyat, nkashift n s #2 hirap n hirap ang galit n ung engine. nka on p ung power switch mlapit s shifter para daw ma malakas. pinagttwanan kmi ng mga lumulusot n passenger jeep samin. grabe kkhiya, very disappointed kmi. lapit n mgPMS, 1500km daw dpat bgo change oil, nkk1200km n. ttnong n lang nmin s casa kung bkit gnun ndi makaahon, bnew wla plate. tinanong p nmin b4 ung tmang pgbreakin, sbi ng casa no need 4 breakin daw. pero inapply p rin nmin. 1st run 60, 80, den 100. wat do u think mga sir?

to answer your question, why not put it in "D" or turn the O/D off, if its in "2" hanggang 2nd gear lang yan, low gear = low speed.

the problem was that it couldnt make it up the hill. so whether u have it on D or 2, it should not matter. cause if you are goin up the hill then it would shift to low gear anyways.so there has to be another problem.

tested a dmax 4x2 A/T... kaya naman umakyat kahit saan... kahit inclined masyado... naka drive lng ako parati.. i tried stoping middle of the inclination,, kaya naman umakyat... ipatingin nyo ang dmax sa casa.... n let them test drive the unit sakay kayo...

Try to check if the PUp you are buying comes with tiptronic. It's a very handy feature.

Huh? I have a 2 yr 8 month old 4x2 LS 3.0 A/T D-Max which I drive to Baguio every so often. No sweat sa kanya ang akyatan, be it sa Marcos Highway or even Kennon Road. Gustong-gusto ko nga siya dun sa mga hairpin loops, yun bang mga segments na 180 degree turn na, matarik pa. Kapit na kapit yung mga gulong. I just keep it in D tapos bahala na yung tranny mamili ng gear. If you keep it in 2, well it will just stay there - in 2nd gear, kahit na nakabuwelo na siya. I can even overtake other diesel vehicles along the way, including some Hiluxes :peace:.

thats almost unbelievable! talisay? dati convoy kami dyan..dalawang hilander (luma hindi crosswind) at isang rented PUJ lahat puno may top load pa..halos himatayin ako sa tulin ng driver kasi sobra madilim talaga pag gabi.

e pano na lang kung may kargang mabigat yung pickup...baka lumubog kayo sa kalsada?

Talisay? Yan yung maraming "boat for rent" diba? Hehe, galing kasi akong Tagaytay kanina, trip lang para makatakas sa mga isipin dito sa Manila. 1st time ko palang kasing pumunta dun mag-isa, at diyan ata ako dumaan pauwi para icheck kung kaya ng kotse yung kalsada dahil may balik kami next week. Mukhang chicken naman dapat sa D-max yun, mga jeep nga walang ginawa kundi humarurot at talsikan ako ng mga bato eh.

me 2! I use the car up to baguio and no sweat. its feels great driving up twisting roads, making use of the torque(where most cars would have trouble climbing) shifting thru the gears.

this maybe a myth but this is the reason why I took a manual tranny instead of auto, because I would like to control the gears pag dating sa incline or when torque is needed... but then again most A/Ts now are very very intelligent
