If I were to choose, I get the A/T because I am 90% city driver. M/T have been giving me stress in traffic, I even had experienced leg cramps while driving.

traffic or not, I prefer M/T. mas nangangalay ang right leg ko kesa sa left leg kakaapak ng preno at gas eh. sa clutch hindi naman nangangalay ang left leg ko kasi.
mas mura pa ang M/T and of course, bulletproof na meaning nakuha na ang peak technology ng M/T. kumbaga, Terran BattleCruiser with Level 3 armors and weapons na ito hehe. :D

October 18th, 2011 11:06 PM #687Not really sir.... One thing is for sure though, tayong mga Pinoy MAHILIG GUMAYA and largely we're US-influenced that's why a lot of us Pinoys seem to prefer the AT over the MT. You go out from the big cities, or say, away from the central-government (Manila), a lot of people in the provinces drive MT's....
Also try observing other countries, say in Europe as an example, people don't mind having MT's. My former French boss, who was already 71 years old in 2008, was driving a Rav 4 MT.
If one knows how to drive the MT's, he understands what is the right powerband (rpm-range) at each gear shift, he understands how the car's transmission behaves where he does NOT allow "jarring off" of the same because oil pressure is getting less in the transmission since he's not lazy to downshift to the right gear, and most importantly, he's NOT "lugging" the car's engine in ascents or when loaded, then he WON'T be straining (the result of stress) the engine. That is all just about it sir.
You can even gain an increased fuel-efficiency with MT's.
