Basta marunong ka din mag-coast at gumamit ng neutral sa A/T, it can save fuel compared to a heavy footed M/T. :D

May 16th, 2011 05:11 PM #639I've driven mainly MT vehicles ever since I started driving over a decade ago - from an old box-type lancer up. I even used a L300 van - the one with the stick shift on the steering wheel column - as my daily driver for over 6 years. However, when I bought my first car, I bought one with an AT. The added control and responsive that an experienced driver can pull out of an MT car isn't worth trading the convenience of the AT for me, given that over 80% of my driving is in Makati and at Global City. Admittedly, there are are times when I wished I had a MT transmission - case in point was during a trip to Tagaytay this weekend - but those happen fairly infrequently, and the rest of the time I'm happy with the choice I've made.
