I've had bad experiences with M/T in floods... twice. Got stuck both times because the clutch would no longer engage. They're on a Lancer GLXi and a Sentra ECCS.

Never on an A/T under similar situations.
Not during Ondoy but I drove an AT truck on 36" water (close to hood) 3 times. Only problem was cleaning the underchassis afterwards and greasing everything else.

I was passing by stranded manual Innovas and Adventures with their owners having dagger eyes for my truck causing waves into their cars.
