But I think the best bet is to wait and see as others try out aftermarket solutions before taking the plunge.
Problem with aftermarket springs is they seem to only make lowered springs for cars and lifted springs for SUVs/pickups. Not much, if any, standard height springs. As for adjustable shocks, most are only rebound adjustable. Would be great if manufacturers started publishing spring rates, suspension travel and maybe damping rates? so we can mix and match even non adjustable shocks. Shame. I wish they made Koni FSD for every car.

And then there's that tranny issue... Yeah, probably best to wait.

    MU-X LS-A 3.0 RWD 5AT (Diesel) - 23.53km/L

    Montero Sport 2.4 4WD 6MT (Diesel) - 18.48km/L

    Montero Sport 2.4 4WD 8AT (Diesel) - 17.79km/L

    Fortuner 2.4 RWD 6AT (Diesel) - 18.91km/L

I guess a maximum 80km/h cruising speed is not optimum for those using 6/8 speed transmissions. 😂

That data is misleading by comparing fuel efficiency of a 2WD to a 4WD.

Take note that the test was done by DOE, not TGPh. Autoindustriya has an article about it too. ;)

not achievable in real life. kahit sa expressway may traffic. at pag ikaw naman ang tumakbo ng 80 kph lang mumurahin ka ng ibang drivers.

They should test normal driving conditions. Better nga kung unaware yung driver na tinetest nya yung fuel efficiency ng vehicle.

by doing it late at night, when the road is practically yours and yours alone. and by not pumping the gas pedal but keeping it pressed at a certain position only (i.e., constant speed at 80 kph).
good for eco runs. impossible in day-to-day driving.
    heh heh.
