Why is the Ford Everest price cheaper considering it is loaded with more features? Like 6/7 airbags, leather seats, etc. Did they cut corners on some areas or maybe due to better and more efficient manufacturing process?

February 10th, 2016 10:55 AM #326In Thailand and Australia, the Everest is more expensive than the Montero. It depends on whether the local distributor wants more profit by making the car more expensive but with lesser features. And don't forget about the rumored subsidy given by the parent company to the local distributor which makes the vehicles sold by the local distributor cheaper than its competitors.

Questions lng sa mga owner ng eve or ford cars: how is the built quality of the new eve now compared to the outgoing model? Or how is ford built quality now? Kasi I have to friends who do the want to go back to ford na kasi yung isa bought a Ford focus last 5 or 6 years ago and wala pang one year dami na daw sira, yung isa naman friend ko meron old everest, sakit daw sa ulo yung maintenance kasi dami laging sira, don't know if malas lng nila kasi they bought lemon cars or is it baka di lng maganda yung ford quality dati? I'm now shopping for a new car and I've been lurking to this thread for a while na. TIA

same concern. I'm actually on the market for a Diesel SUV and leaning towards a Japanese build. But the Everest had my attention too. but I hear from a lot of experienced people that Ford cars are a headache to maintain and build quality is not that good. I've even seen a few videos showing the new Everest and Ranger having engine start problems where it doesn't start or shuts down randomly while on idle.
I'm leaning towards the Fortuner though but will keep my judgement until I've seen one in the flesh. for now it is the 1. Montero GLS Premium 2. Toyota Fortuner 2.4V 3. Ford Everest 2.2 Titanium. (I'm only interested in the mid variants)

anyways, it applies to all heavy SUVs. for me maganda Lang siya tignan kasi malaki, but with malalki comes big responsibility like maintain in cleaner but since big real estate ang mga SUVs sa clean dept chances are tamad ang owner maglinis ng sarili Nila car coz bossing nga sila eh. So ganun manlilimahid dito sa Huli. Sa gulong parang hirap linisin bawat isa.
Then some would argue, pa car wash. Wtf those car wash hire boys that can barely eat a 3 day meal and then I sasabak mo expensive SUV mo dun
Kahit San anggulo tignan, talo ang SUV owner in getting an expensive car like that.
someones are (at last!) loudly asking, "why did they turn off the countdown timers?"
