2002-2006 CR-V
2003-2007 X-Trail
is that a brown fm? is that a 2005? nasa inyo pa ba? haha dame tanong.
dream car ko yan to buy with my own money. ill be looking for a brown fm preferably ung ralliart version. though maraming may ayaw ng version na un i dont know why. 2 years from now sana i have extra money so i can get one na. kaso eight year olds na mg fm ralliart nun. slow nga lang siya but by that time ill be 28-29, wala na siguro sa sistema ko ang magmatulin haha
Ganun po pala. Astig sana ung lynx kaso ford ehang alam ko sirain ang ford eh... may SUV po kami ung tucson ung older model kaso kay mama un at A/T me Dmax kaso ke dad un at too big para sakin syempre kasi pick up ung optra binenta na kasi halos once a month nasa casa kahit alagang alaga :\ some of you po mentioned of corolla can you give po linls kasi papakita ko po ke dad to pag decided na ako on what card naman po ako ung tipong tinignan lang sa stop light eh akala race na hehe chill lang ung pag kinailangan especially pag uuwi kami zambales merong excitement :D and mas maganda ung hindi takaw atensyon parang sleeper car.
Hindi po sirain ang Ford. In fact matibay nga yung mga yun eh. Its just that Ford parts are generally more expensive. I can testify for the durability of Ford cars as we have three Fords in our family. A 1993 Telstar 2.0GLX (rebadged Mazda 626) and a 2010 Escape 2.3XLS in Taiwan, and a 2003 Escape 2.0XLT here. The Telstar in particular is already nearing the 300000 kms mark with no signs of failing and is still capable of breaching 200km/h and getting 10km/L city mileage.
The Lynx is not a true North American Ford, it is jointly developed with Mazda which rebadged it as the 323 whose last version (the twin of the Lynx) did not reach our shores. It is in fact more Japanese than American. As many Tsikoteers here can tell you, the Lynx is a very solid car with a very stable and comfortable ride and a powerful engine be it 1.6L or 2.0L.

Are you sure your dad is up to buying you a second hand car? Kung yung d-max niyo nabenta niyo na dahil sirain the same fate might happen if you buy a second hand car worth 400k. Be careful.
*TS:
This is quite an unorthodox advise. Would you consider having a Mercedes Benz W123 body? Para sa mga 90s kids, it's hell old but it's so durable, kasi matanda pa nga sa akin ang iba sa mga W123 (being born in 1984.) Get a diesel one for a better fuel economy. The technology is quite simple and parts are quite abundant. Downside is the expensive parts if there is a need to replace one. But wait, kung gagastos ka sa parts pero tatagal naman ng at least 5 years siguro nang walang kalampag, it's also worth the investment compared to a 2nd hand car pero every now and then, may pinapalitan ka. May isang tsikoteer din po kasi (not me) na nung college siya, MB W123 ang kotse niya while his batch mates drove brand new japs.
civic ka na lang, kung top priority mo is speed. for me matulin din siya I previously owned a civic FD. and as of now Mazda 6 ride ko both are also bought by my parents.
2004 Mazda 3 meron na for 400k.
His parents probably don't want him to be inconvenienced with commuting. Also if he has his own car he will be less abala to the people around him eg pahatid or pasabay. If he goes on a night out, the parents won't be worried about how he'll be going home. Plus his friends without cars will be the one depending on him rather than him depending on others for a ride. Owning a car also teaches him how to be responsible.

orderbayad, what college or university are you attending ba?
punta ka doon and check out the cars of the students
that will give you an idea what car papabili mo
baka puro brand new/late model/tuner cars nakapark doon
para di ka out-of-place, at least FD civic pabili mo. padagdag mo yung 400T budget
A college boy driving his own car teaches nothing..maybe it teaches him how to drive fast and park in tight places but nothing that will equip him to be a more productive person in his future. Mas mabuti pa ma experience niya mag commute at mag paka simple. Imagine if a student commutes everyday, then one day may project sa bahay, pag punta ng mga classmates niya dami palang auto.

If the parents can afford to buy and maintain the car, why not. Responsibility pa rin naman ng magulang na turuan ng tama yung anak with regards to owning a car or any thing with value at that.
Ultimately, owning a car has its pro's and con's depending not only on the individual, but also to the parents that will guide the racer, este ricer, este driver pala. hehehe![]()
