Hindi po sirain ang Ford. In fact matibay nga yung mga yun eh. Its just that Ford parts are generally more expensive. I can testify for the durability of Ford cars as we have three Fords in our family. A 1993 Telstar 2.0GLX (rebadged Mazda 626) and a 2010 Escape 2.3XLS in Taiwan, and a 2003 Escape 2.0XLT here. The Telstar in particular is already nearing the 300000 kms mark with no signs of failing and is still capable of breaching 200km/h and getting 10km/L city mileage.

The Lynx is not a true North American Ford, it is jointly developed with Mazda which rebadged it as the 323 whose last version (the twin of the Lynx) did not reach our shores. It is in fact more Japanese than American. As many Tsikoteers here can tell you, the Lynx is a very solid car with a very stable and comfortable ride and a powerful engine be it 1.6L or 2.0L.
