Same dilemma tatay ko, me being a little car enthusiast eh sakin naipasa yung paglalatag ng facts at pagschedule ng test drive with the dealers.

To make it short, i'll just list the factors that made the Mu-x his choice in no particular order.

    1. Brute looks, mas panlalaki ang dating kahit lahat kaming magkakapatid sa fortuner ang boto when it comes to the exterior.

    2. Leather seats. Para siguro sa mga apo nya na grabe magdumi ng sasakyan. Masyado ng mataas ang presyo ng Fortuner na naka leather.

    3. Reverse sensor and camera. First car nya na meron nito. Being a noob on car specs, these put a smile on his face nung first time nya makaexperience. Not the he needed it since dati syang jeepney drivee.

    4. Safety features like stability and traction control and the speed sensing door locks. He needed these since medyo aggresive driver sya at malilimutin maglock ng pinto.

    5. The tv monitor for his grandchildrens. No explanation needed.

    6. Smart entry and push start. Gusto daw nya for convenience.

    7. More affordable.

    Just sharing lang.

    * Pero if di issue ang budget. Fortuner V 4x4 hands down sya.

MUX is same as trailblazer. so choosing between the two is like choosing bet. Fortuner Vs. Trailblazer. Toyota vs. Chevy. so dali mag-decide diba?

The mux and trailblazer share the same platform. Gm and isuzu actually has a long history of partnership/collaboration. Anyhow, despite their similarities, they actually differ quite a bit. Do some research - google is your friend. The engine is one diff. The isuzu's 4jj1 has a B10 rating. This means that 90% of 4jj1 engines produced will not require major servicing after 500k km. Or you can also say that only 10% will require major work yada yada yada..

But i do agree, if its fort vs tb, fort hands down. And its not just because of the toyota badge.

Ok naman perf nung mux sir. Katapos ko lang ng 5k pms. 2700 (free labor).

Practicality - mux. Looks, i prefer the fort. Pogi lalo na yung white. 😊

Nice balak ko kunin pearl white na mux parang tingin ko nga practical ang mux. Mahal kasi ng fortuner and kulang ang mga features pero dahil sa toyota siya gusto ko rin siya. Hopefully, good choice.

I still find it unfair that a million plus peso car has still an engine in euro 2 spec. Why can't they make it euro 4 compliant already?

Totally agree with this. Mas mahal pa ang maintenance ng Euro IV kasi kakailanganin mo ng CJ-4 category oil (na puro synthetic lahat) every oil change. Then kung nagkataon na ang naikarga mo sa Euro IV diesel engine mo e Euro II spec fuel but branded as Euro IV (na di far-out because this is Philippines), fouled up na ang DPF ng auto mo.

To the MU-X owners, mausok ba? And yung usok ba maitim and mabaho? I had. 2003 trooper before na kahit bago tune-up black smoke that smelled awful. Mabango pa usok ng Starex. So alin mas ok sa kanila in terms of yung smoke from the exhaust? Nakaka-trauma kasi talaga trooper ko before.
