yup it is available, STi A-line ang tawag nila don. i think it will only be limited kaya order na habang available pa. but feedback from other people, medyo mas mabagal daw ang a-line compared to the manual STi.

not sure kung nasa website ng MI, i haven't checked MI's website for a while now. i think same specs, the differenece lang is the A-line doesn't react as fast as the STi manual para bang may delay ang reaction.

For me too i like the Subaru STi more than the Evo. Although if you watch Top Gear, Evo wins on performance but STi for the looks and for daily driving. Mas matagtag ang Evo for daily driving compared sa STi. At mas powerful ang hatak ng Sti compared sa Evo when at low speed. This is carried out on WRX and Ralliart variant also. Furthermore Evo design is bad halos walang kaibahan sa normal na Lancer (dapat lang medyo iba kasi Evo nga eh). Parang compare BMW 3series to an M3 makita mo talaga ang difference.

So clearly my choice is Subaru STi (2.6M).
The TS is comparing not the Evo version but, rather, it's younger brother -- the Ralliart. IMO, Mitsu's pricing on the Evo is very very weird indeed. They're practically aiming at the Evo-fanboy niche.

Although +1 ako sa mabilis lang gayahin look ng Evo. More-so for the Ralliart. Pero yun talaga masasabi natin is.. walang gaya gaya sa engine at transmission

But there's also the Impreza 2.0 into STi look either.. so I won't discredit points for the Evo on that. It's rarer to see them compared to fake Evos, but it's pretty doable. Especially the hood scoop (pinakamabilis ata gayahin) followed by the exhausts and springs.

The fact still remains that you can ask here in Tsikot. But the best decision to be made is out in the field... drive them all off for a test run.

OT: Teka, magkano na ba yun EX to Evo look na yan? Natandaan ko tuloy curiousity ko yun may nakita akong EX sa MoA dati... akala ko at least Ralliart. Not bad pa: hood scoop, black yun grill, name plate nasa right.. problema lang.. di pa ata nakakabili ng new set of wheels. Ever seen an EvoX or a Ralliart sporting stock 16"?

I think just drop by MI at as long as the testdrive unit is available, you can drive it.

Also test the 2010 Legacy GT. It is the best of both worlds, luxury, comfort and power (265hp) tunable like the WRX and STI. 330-350 hp is within reach with remap and TBE. Many say that it runs like a WRX or say Ralliart, but very comfy and cheaper (P2.05M). Check it out! It might be the one for you.. If I am to buy another Subaru, it will be this car.

Or another option would be Honda S2000, yung AP2 para medyo sariwa pa.

my brother owned one, then let me use it every day. it's power isn't comparable to the wrx and legacy. don't get me wrong i'm not saying that the s2k is slow cause it is quick and handles really well, all i'm saying is it isn't in the same league as the wrx and legacy.

The S2000 only shines once you get it into it's VTEC power range which is the last 2000 rpms. Once you fall below that last 2000 rpms, so does your power. It might be a great sports car for a track day but daily driving will leave you wanting.

The Impreza WRX and Legacy GT gives you a lot of power even low down in the rev range which is better for more real world driving.

If you're going to go for a rear-wheel drive car, might as well go for a brand new GC instead of a secondhand S2000. For the same price, you even get a nice-sounding V6.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Maganda din naman tunog pag nag VTEC and S2000

Seriously the driving dynamics of the S2000 is way better than the heavier GC that is why I mentioned it.I'm not really impressed when I testdrove the GC. Although few mods will do the job and the V6 sound is good, what more of 370Z pa yan?

i agree with this cars like the STi is in a whole different level against regular cars. so if you really want it as a first car, i suggest going to racing schools and learning every thing about a car and how to handle it's power. even the gc is too much for a newbie.

i agree that the s2k's driving dynamics is amazing, it feels like driving a go kart. it's so easy and fun to drive, the gc wins in over all performance but the s2k is much more fun to drive than the gc. the only problem is the s2k lacks torque even if it revs up to 9k rpm parang bitin parin ang feeling.

Production of S2000 stopped June 2009 pa. So ever makakita ka sa Gray Market used na yan. Just saw few ads, asa 1M-1.3M pa rin yung AP1 model (99-mid 03). So AP2(04-09) 1.4-1.8M pa rin sigurado, used. Yes it is not as fast as the turbo cars of your options. But is surely also fun fun to drive.

Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear rated this car above the Boxster and Z4.

yung ap2 revs up to 7k rpm only, yung ap1 up to 9k.
