Which would you get? Why?
Strada
4D56TDiC (sanay na ako sa engine na to)
Comfy interior (some kind of a sedan comfy)
Rides Better
MACHO
I would get the strada. 235mm ground clearance, 2.5 turbo charged engine 100ps., leather seats and leather steering wheel, build in step board, 3 additional gauges on the dash board (inclometer, voltage meter, and temperature), standard 31 X 10.5 r15 tires. The Frontier comparing the 4x4 model has a 3.2 engine has almost the same horsepower 103ps( has no turbo lag but consumes more diesel), less prone to smoke belching ( has dual fuel filter), a very efficient aircon system, ground clearance is at 215mm, standard 235/70r 15 tires. both models have maplights.
So the strada should be a bit more fuel efficient than the frontier in city driving?
yes 2.5 vs 3.2 but the power in the frontier is very overwhelming everytime you step on the gas pedel the frontier will give you 100% torque at all times. Sa strada when you step on the gas pedal may konting delay until it roars to 2,000rpm duon mo lang mafefeel and lakas ng torque kasi by that time palang gagana ang turbo charger.
also napansin ko na yung rear seat is elevated sa strada, a little plus point.
on my strada in doing 9km/liter mixed city and highway
I will choose Strada as well...parts are relatively cheap and abundant. It has the nicest ride among the old pick-up (frontier, fuego, old hilux, ranger) It has more cabin space, nicer interior appointment (although this is subjective) and I like its macho stance... and its 4x4 system is aready shift on the fly (I maybe wrong on this one though)
Frontier will be my close second on this old pickup segment....
kaya pala ang baba ng resale value ng frontier its just not preferred by many. I wonder why it was ever named pick-up of the year.
kahit san sa dalawa.

sabit na lang ako dito sa thread.
pwede sama nyo sa comparison yung fuego sports. my co. is choosing bet. the 2 (strada and fuego). frontier ang sikip kasi sa likod sobra.
slightly cheaper kasi fuego yata compare sa strada?
pansin ko rin. sa fuego hirap umupo sa likod.Originally Posted by kimpOy

strada. but between fuego and strada, fuego. try driving a strada and park it sa mga malls. you will see why.
Frontier vs Strada = Strada anytime...sobrang takaw ng makina ng frontier
Strada vs Fuego = Strada pa din anytime...
bakit? dahil sa size nya or turning radius?Originally Posted by ARB

strada has a big turning radius while fuego is shorter. Comparing the 2 the strada starts to smoke belch faster than the fuego. recommended change oil to avoid the smoke belch 2k to 3k km sa strada 4k to 5k km sa fuego.
talaga? I thought the smoke belch was a problem with the first gen strada. what is the relation of oil change to smoke belching? Isn't smoke belching a result of incomplete combustion?Originally Posted by johnart
very hard to park a strada bec it's very long and tall. mas mahirap kung paatras bec. you dont have clear view of the back lalo na kung sedan yun nasa likod. my strada has bent rear chrome bumpers. parati ko napapatama sa wall o sa bakal even hanggang ngaun.Originally Posted by Jai

Strada. pero the Frontier is more carlike...
the Strada is simply what it is, Truckish, versatile and MACHO ang appearance.
