    AG4,

dba USDM 94 Accord has two 2.2Liter variants the LX (130hp) and EX (145hp).

    i think the 2.0L only has 126hp.

Many older Asian spec models had less restriction and no catalytic converters.
A 1995 USDM Corolla 1.8 was rate at 105hp, a local spec Corolla Gli 1.6 produced 5 more hp (110hp).

I do recall a review (Inquirer Motoring section) that the "then" new 1994 Accord had around 130hp or something like that, it could be a typo though.

question... does a cat-converters affect power rating at the crank/flywheel?

*theveed: dyno tests put gains in whp at 3-4 hp (from sportcompactcar) from cat removal depending on the car. That equates to maybe 5hp (crank) for a single cat, maybe 8hp for dual.
*AG4: I think the Cefiro A31 had the SOHC KA24, but I'll try to confirm this at DMF this weekend... they still have the stock motor of their SR20DET (200+++hp) drift Cefiro. You CAN swap in an RB, though.

Yup, kala ko RB25DET siya nung una kong nakita ang stock motor na nakatambak... imagine my pleasant surprise nung nakita ko ang SR20 na nakasaksak sa malaki niyang engine bay... anlufet!

LHD A31 Cefiros(including the RP spec models) came with RB24 SOHC inline-6 engine.
    I've seen a stock A31 Cefiro with an RB24 2.4 liter inline-6.
The JDM spec models came with DOHC 2.0 and 2.5 liter inline-6 engines.

Here is the RB24 from an RP spec A31 Cefiro.

    By the way, Nissan's KA24 is a 2.4 liter inline-4 engine.

It was only available for the export LHD A31 Cefiro, most of the info we see is for the RHD version.

No, the gasoline powered Terrano was powered by a (Z24)2.4 liter 8-valve SOHC inline-4.

The 240Z was powered by a (L24)2.4 liter SOHC 12-valve inline-6, it had a Mercedes derived design.

Technically it should fit because the A31 Cefiro shares its basic platform with the R32 Skyline, I'm just not sure of the modifications needed when installing it into a LHD car.
The R32 GT-R by the way is powered by an RB26DETT engine.

Actually, the conversion to a Skyline engine is relatively simple. The only hurdle is finding a mechanic who can understand the wiring loom conversion.

The RB series doesn't really distinguish between LHD and RHD, and I've seen a lot of US 240SXs (acquaintances online) converted to RB25DETs.

I've seen quite a number of RB25DET Cefiros, that's why I was surprised by the DMF Cefiro's SR20DET... a conversion which I like better because the SR20DET is much lighter and gives the car a better balance for drifting.

The RB26DETT conversion should also be possible, but it entails buying an RB25 transmission and dumping the AWD drivetrain connected to the engine. Don't know if the engine computer would like it, though.

Maybe the 5-speed transmission of the RWD R33 Skyline GTS25T (255PS RB25DET) might be compatible.

That's usually what's done, I think... I have no idea how they convert 26s to RWD, but with available engines, a RB26DETT - RB25DET hybrid is the most doable, but given that the RB25DET itself can be tuned for at least 300hp - 500hp of power (not sure of this), most people just slap in the 25'... it's got more power potential, theoretically, than an SR20, but as SR20 tuners are now pushing past the 500hp mark, and as RBs get older and older (there are still lots of new SR20 blocks floating around), the SR20 is becoming the engine of choice for 240SX and Cefiro owners.

Heck, we even had an SR20 powered 80's Silvia before... swapped in to replace the irreplaceable and irretrievably damaged 1.8 turbo.

Super OT na ito... hehe... gotta love Nissan engines.

Super OT: Niky, do you know the transmission used by the RWD (R33) Nismo Skyline GT-R LM Road Going Version?
Its a high powered RWD Skyline GT-R with a widebody similar to the race car. There was a test of this car before in a european website, but I can't find it anymore. You can also find this in Gran Turismo.

Nope... not really... I can look it up. Reasonably sure it's a 5-speed, as most Skylines of that time were.

I'd forgotten... there are RB26DETT tuner cars with RWD, but I have no idea what they used, whether it was a stock RWD transaxle or a beefed up unit. It could be possible to merely weld the front differential on a stock AWD transmission to get RWD. I've seen some examples of this done on Subarus.

Altima 2.0 m/t. ;) Despite having 2 cylinders less than the Galant VR V6.

Yup,the A31 had a RB24 carbie... My friend also had a SR20DET swap in his A31 (DMF din... silver A31 with those rare Autech bumpers). Dang, if i had the dough when he sold it it may have been in my garage now.
