"mag toyota" is actually a sound advise for new car owners and drivers. Parts are abundant and almost any competent mechanic can service the car anywhere you get a breakdown.

Years ago, our corolla broke down. Tirik in the middle of the national highway in laguna. Naputulan ng wire sa contact point. Guess what, the first autosupply albeit very small, saw may part agad.

    a little of both, siguro.
plus, personal experience with the brand.

folks may criticize this type of thinking, but in my opinion, toyota did its job so well years ago, that even today, it is, to the envy of the automotive manufacturing world, still reaping the fruits thereof.
i think the term "so boringly reliable" was coined for it.
and even as some of its products today are showing cracks, its reputation is still something to be reckoned with.

    of course,
this is my opinion only, and i am confident there are those out there, who will dis-agree.

Suggestion guys or any idea na pwede ko gamitin basis regardless of condition nila. Base lang sa model and odo meter. [emoji4]

Madali i-park at magaan i-drive. Wala pang major parts na napapalitan aside from consumable items (wiper, battery, engine oil, cvt oil, coolant, brake pads, filters).

    Cons:
Decent aircon kaso may konting bitin sa lamig compare to other vehicle.
Makalampag na suspension but tolerable naman

For me, ok naman ang Mirage for first time car owner. Basta make sure mo lang na ung unit na bibilhin is well maintained ng owner at hindi ginamit as TNVS (Grab or Uber).

Yung Fit is JDM.

Converted kasi from right hand to left hand kaya hesitant ako sa ganyan.

I see. Noted on this sir!

Another question, what is the risk if meetup lang yung pagchecheck ng unit na bibilhin? I mean, sobrang layo kasi ng location nila seller so we decided na magmeetup nalang halfway kung sakaling ichecheck ang unit..

ask the seller that question, po.
unless... seller is charging for "seeing fee".

if i were me, i wouldn't go too far, when buying a car.

2015 picanto with 10k kms at 250k? Hmmm. Something fishy... i have a 2014 picanto.. a little ceamped compared to mirage but you will not feel that the car is "thin".. matatag din suspension and does not easily bottoms out at full load..

FC is at 10k / liter city drive. Very basic car. Just regular maintenance..

From taguig kasi si Seller and ako naman is from fairview QC. Willing daw sila makipagmeet around eastwood. Concern ko is may possibility bang may hindi ako macheck sa oto since nabyahe na nila? May nabasa kasi ako na importante ding makita yung pag cold start ng oto when buying.. [emoji849]

failing to completely, as in completely, check out a car is always a sigurado, po.
that is why, i prefer to see the car in its home. atmosphere is more relaxed.
seeing the scenario in his home also gives you an idea of how diligent he is, at keeping things in order. a clean garage translates to a well-maintained car, according to some folks..
also, i want to know where the seller lives, in the unlikely event that i might want to speak face to face with him, again.

errr... is seller also the owner or is seller a bayan seller?
i might go thru some discomforts, if seller is the owner as well.

bring work clothes, a higaan, a cap, and a strong flashlight.
you will want to crawl under the car, to inspect for leaks... engine.. brakes.. shocks.. and body rust!!!
if you can have the car lifted up at the gas station, the better for more thorough inspection underneath.

make sure all the parts and accessories are complete and are in working condition. unless you know it for a fact, don't believe him when he says "hindi ko na pinalitan. mura lang naman yan sa shoemart, e."

all these co$t money to fix, after you purchase the car.

ang daming used cars on sale nowadays.
do not snap up the first car you inspect. see several. the next car you inspect might just be better than the one that got away.

    and don't forget! the documents!

    happy hunting.

    errr... still open to sedans?

he's selling the car. if i were selling my car, i'd agree to whatever the potential buyer asks for, within limits, of course.
if he refuses to have it checked by the potential buyer, "there's probably something he's hiding", including, "la lang.. tamad lang ako".

bayan sellers collaring remated cars from dealers or banks, is common practice, naman.
some of them have understandings with the re-maters.
a seller even advertises, "we are official dealers of xxx brand remated cars..."

Hello, I really apologize but I can't seem to start a thread of my own and I really need advice on purchasing a 2nd hand car.

I currently own a 2002 Altis and planning to upgrade. The car is used only mostly during weekends (I ride a motorcycle to work) and out of town trips.

I have 3 cars in mind (pasok sa budget) and I am planning to purchase before the month ends.

    1. 2012/2013 Civic 1.8 MT/AT (9th gen) - the reason I like this Civic is ONLY just because it's a Civic. I'm just worried na mataas ang FC niya kasi nga 1.8 ung displacement. Hindi pa kasi ako nagkaka-Civic before so parang gusto ko i-try man lang. Also, 6-7yrs old na siya pag binili ko copared sa VIOS na 2-3 lang.

    2. 2016/2017 Vios MT 1.3E - The only reason I prefer the Vios is because it will just be 2-3 yrs. old when I purchase it.

    3. 2014 Altis MT 1.6E (10th gen) [/B]- This one I really like/prefer. Before gusto ko talaga ung Altis G/V 2011/2012 9th Gen but then narealize ko na kaya ko naman isagad ung budget ko for the 2014 10th gen model pero Manual trans nga lang. Gusto ko ung porma ng Altis talaga but napapaisip ako if mas ok ung CIVIC kung hindi rin naman ako mag vi-Vios. Also, alam ko stupid question pero mas OK naman talaga isagad ko na ung budget to purchase the 10th gen Altis than to settle with the Altis G/V 2011/2012 9th Gen diba?

Thanks in advance po for the advice. Again, I'm sorry to ride on this thread.

You can't go wrong alinman piliin mo, pero if I'd prioritize, personally, I'd choose the civic, then the altis and the vios last. Never did the math, feeling lang haha, FC difference between civic and vios hindi malayo. I've driven both to and fro Aurora when I was stationed there.
