Wired in Unichip costs 30k only. If you're keen on modifying, headers, filter and chip siguro pwede na. Huwag na yung free flowing exhaust baka mabingi ka pa.Maganda kapag discreet tingnan at pakinggan, yung tipong mukhang stock tapus ang bilis bilis pala. Sa ganon palang siguro nasa mga north of 60k na yung gagastusin mo including tuning kung nagpagawa ka sa Speedlab. I don't know the exact cost kasi yung list of mods for the Lynx is not yet posted at Speedlab's website. Kung ayos pa naman yung rolling stock, I'd suggest you keep them first. Don't go for very big rims, bigger rims = poorer FC, 17" max na. Ngayon ipag-isipan mo ng mabuti. More mods = more power. More power = more temptation to go fast. More speed runs = more fuel used. More fuel used = HUGE gas bills, and remember that this car has a 2.0L engine...

mahihirapang makatulog ulit yan......![]()
Look here. http://tsikot.com/forums/ford-cars-t...97/index6.html Specifically in this page where Niky explained about all the stuff he did to his Lynx RS - the most powerful normally aspirated Lynx in the country. Installing a K&N filter, CAI, headers, 2.25" exhaust and Unichip should gie you around a 20-25bhp boost. Hanggang duon pwede na. 160+ hp in a car this size and weight will enable you to smoke stock 2.0L FD's and Lancer EX's already. Getting north of 220km/h shouldn't be a problem too.
Slightly better than an Explorer, if not at par with it.
IMHO, bago ka mag-mods and stuff. Get to know your car's stock power first. Drive it to its limits. From then on, kung wala nang ibubuga yung kotse, at kung nakukulangan ka pa saka ka mag-upgrade ng mga bagay bagay.
Baka nga upgrade ka dito, doon. Palit camgears, install this and that. Pero you have no balls to exceed 100kph naman pala. Sayang lang din.
And IMO, the lynx rs in its stock form is already unique and jawdropping. Maybe because it's rare? Or it's just simply beautiful? I don't know. Pero para sakin, no need to change anything sa aesthetics. Keep it that way. Again, focus on performance if nakukulangan ka pa. If not, then why bother. Nakatipid ka pa.
Haha! Tama ka diyan bro. Kaya naglagay ako ng warning dun sa isang post :"More mods = more power. More power = more temptation to go fast. More speed runs = more fuel used. More fuel used = HUGE gas bills." But since he wants to go the modification route, I'd throw in my two cents worth. Shouldn't it make the engine more efficient?
With the Unichip, I know it's just a bonus if it improves your fuel efficiency. With the IHE, possible din yata. Depends still though, on the quality of the Intake ( if ever the TS will go Simota ... )
But with additional power, can you really fight the urge to push it hard when opportunity allows? Your guess is as good as mine.
:btw: if the ts would go for the stage 1 mods, id suggest him to skip the ' exhaust ' part. it's more fun to hear the intake doing it's glorious sound than hearing your exhaust roar at .... 40kph. Wahaha. ( -- again depends on the quality of the exhaust if ever the ts will go the generic way )
Yeah. But you need loads of money to have that kind of exhaust ( deep bassy sound * high rpm )
Regulars play around 7-8k. So branded ones go about 5 digits or so.
Haha~ mapera naman si TS.Minimum of 5k/week eh! Yung sinasabi mong regular exhaust ba yung maingay?
Haha! Onga naman... Once you get into mods, there's no telling if you will be able to stop, and there goes all your money. And then nakapagmodify ka na at mas mabilis na ang sasakyan mo. Ano na ngayon? Top speed run, of course! Ang bilis naman, let's do it again! And there goes the full tank of gas you just topped up.
Kaya sabi ko kung mods basic lang. If ever you get the Unichip, maybe you can tell them to tune it for more focus on fuel economy.
*Gti: ahh so i was talkin about the plug and play pala. hahaha i stand corrected.
*TS: next time na mods, Detailing muna and some new rubber. Also, pa Retrofit kana kay garyq ng Projector headlamps. un nalang muna. while you're at that, you can research and learn about the lnyx at the same time .
Punta po kasi ako sa banawe sa monday, first time ko dun, this are the things I have in mind to buy,
Emblem, front and rear
tapos HID kit?
tapos K&N filter. Yun na, may nagkakabit ba nun dun? hehe
Sir Niky : Good mods equals a K&N Filter, a cold-air intake or long intake tube, mandrel bent long headers (just get these custom from Brodeth, SMT or Mufflerland), a full 2.25" exhaust and a good muffler.
If ever I'll follow that set up, how much would It cost, and do speedlab have all the things needed? and BTW po, how to get to speedlab? Please please give me a detailed instruction sirs
