Umuwi ako hangang cavite malapit na tagaytay, channel 2 medyo kumukurap, pero Channel 7 excellent reception all the way and so are other channels.
    IMO:
pros-ganda reception, no external power required, removable slide on/slide off para di "mapitas" sa parking, quality built pulido ang gawa kahit plastic ang casing
    cons-pricey, external

Depende din sa quality of tv tuner. Best quality yun "super" from japan pero kung nextbase ang tv tuner nyo wala effect.

Hintayin na lang yun TV broadcasst via 4G technology where the service provider will sell receiver (parang cellfone) unit monitor to HD broadcast of live tv content.(2010 onward). Next year relaunch ng smartTV via 3G using cellfone then will spin off to a dedicated tv service platform by 2010.

The test broadcast of smartTV super linaw at stable at meron ka option for instant replay of live broadcast galing!

2010 is the target for japan market, right? Not sure though kung kailan maa-adopt sa atin considering na walang pang plan to phase-out analog
tuning receivers sa atin...maybe this technology will be available here at the earliest, 2012 pa...

Yes, for the local tv broadcast of abscbn, gma and other networks 2012 ata yun mandatory HDTV format.

What I am talking about is the dedicated TV service broadcast for mobile users via 4G similar to present Smart TV where we watched live the recent pacquiao-dela hoya fight for free. By January meron na bayad with over 15 channels.

You'd be surprised to know that that is just an ordinary "rabbit-ear" antenna ... but one of the best-looking I've seen.

Kaya kumukurap ang reception ng channel 2 kapag nasa Cavite ka ... because of the frequency of Channel 2 (the lowest on the TV band), you need to extend the antenna to its fullest length. It won't look at its best, but the reception on 2 should be better.

Hello mga Sirs! Good day! Gusto ba ninyo i-rephrase ang title ng thread na ito?

Since you are talking about "Car Antennas", why don't we change it kung ok lang naman sa thread starter? What do you think po?

why not try this fractal antenna. yan ang gamit ngayun sa mga cellphones.

The first thing I would like to discuss is a little history, theory, and uses for fractal antennas.

Fractal antennas are a recent discovery. First discovered back in 1988 by Nathan Cohen and later published and patented in 1995. A fractal antenna has a few unique attributes as seen in this definition from Wikipedia:

"A fractal antenna is an antenna that uses a fractal, self-similar design to maximize the length, or increase the perimeter (on inside sections or the outer structure), of material that can receive or transmit electromagnetic signals within a given total surface area or volume."

What exactly does that mean? Well, you need to know what a fractal is. Also from Wikipedia:

"A fractal is generally a rough or fragmented geometric shape that can be split into parts, each of which is (at least approximately) a reduced-size copy of the whole,a property called self-similarity."

So basically, a fractal is a geometric shape that repeats and appears over and over no matter how far out or how far in you zoom magnification. For visual clarification, here is a picture of the patented antenna:

Source: Wikipedia and http://patimg2.uspto.gov/.piw?PageNu...id=US007088965 Patent number: 7088965]
