Di kakayanin ng isang 10" ang ganyang bass. I'd suggest at least one 15 inch sub. powered by a very powerful amp.

balak ko pa set up .... here's what im planning.....

- 1 10" sub (phoenix gold or audiobank)
- amp (fenton fa4300 or alpine V12)
- boston rally seps
- naka box
- wirings

question ko po.....is this set up SQ or SPL? gusto ko kasi sana malakas bass ko eh....like if naka open windows ko ramdam ng tao sa labas yung bass

its better if you opt for a bigger sub......let's say 2 15" or 1 18" or 2 12" subs if you really want to go for SPL........:D

What's your car? Corolla po ba?

Kung tight po budget go for Targa subs or the Xtant. Most likely mabibitin ka sa 10" sub. IMO, go for 2 15"ers.

Kung gusto mo talaga yung 10" tapos bayo-bayo, maybe Neilsen or dbaudio can help you design and build a bandpass box/enclosure. It can sound like you have two or more subs. Drawbacks, medyo malaki yung box and it is effective only at a certain frequency range depending on the design and port length(s). :mrgreen::mrgreen:

correct po sir Zhero.....

coolrolla if you plan to use a 10" sub.....better place it in an enclosure to perform well......it is a given fact that small subs function well in enclosures.....while larger subs can manage even without putting it in an enclosure.....and enclosures function on a fixed frequency....pre-tuned kung baga.......so better decide on what subs to use before finalizing your system.....:D

if ever you really need to use the 10" subs.....give me a ring and let's discuss what box we can design for that......:D

Rangie it's better to put that baby in a ported box......just like what I did to my series 1 subs.....12" enclosed in a bandpass box.......:D

Try to go to the Dai-1chi showroom in megamall. It will give you an idea of how much those items are... yung extant try calling Ben of Intense sa banawe. If you really want to get a good deal, try going to raon.. they say that the you can get the Fenton/Targa/Dai-1chi products there at 30-50% off from the showroom price!!:idea:

how about kung fenton na f41000 model (4x1000 ata to)250W per channel....2 channel bridged to power 1 15" na sub..then the 2 chan.to power my boston pro seps...pwede na ba pang spl?

and is it true na pag 1 amp lang to power your system e i init agad yung amp mo?

a bridged amp powering a 15" sub will do........magiging 3 channel siya......ch 1&2 bridged for the sub and channels 3&4 for the seps.........

regarding naman sa umiinit na amp.......umiinit naman talaga lahat eh.....depende lang sa load na nakakabit sa kaniya.......:D

Depende rin sa puwesto ng amp. Pag wala gaano ventilation mas mabilis uminit kesa sa may ventilation.

depende din sa load... if you run the amp at 2ohms pero rated lang sya at 4ohms... iinit yan. also, if you hook up a sub that is way above the max power of the amp, lalo na if the gains are set at full and you play loud. :wink:

Do you see where the sub is connected? The illustration is a 2ch amp. So, if you bridge channels 1&2, that's how it's going to look.

i just purchased a fenton FA41000 (250Wx4) and two 12" phoenix gold QX subs (250W)......my plan is 1&2 channel to power my seps and 3&4 channel to power my subs....balanced na ba tong set up ko? i want spl sana eh...or do i have to power my subs with the fenton alone and buy another amp to power my seps to gain SPL....what can you say about my planned set up? tnx again..... :D

but the true rating daw is..you can say...mga 100-150... :wink:
