November 17th, 2013 11:11 AM #782Finally, will be getting our Fort next week. Your opinion guys - I'm planning to have the stock speakers replaced by DLS X series seps on the front and coax on the rear, HU will be stock. I'm not really into the boom boom stuff, just want to improve the SQ inside, hence no amps or subs anymore. What do you think? BTW, I'm considering Winterpine to do the job.

November 17th, 2013 11:55 PM #783done upgrading the head unit to a sony brand. mahina output ng left front speaker compared sa right and rear. pasira na kaya to? ganito na siya sa lumang head unit, now napalitan yung HU its either the wiring or speaker. pero may song na malakas naman balanced output ng left and right.
tried to tinker with the old and new HU's balance. mahina talaga si front left. ano ba mga sir ang magandang replacement na cheap but good quality?

November 20th, 2013 09:40 PM #784Guys, what do you think of this budget sq set-up?
Component - infinity 6500cx
Coax - infinity 6502ix
Amp - jbl gto 804ez
Sub - infinity reference 1260w
Wirings - xcite
Deadening (stp) probably on front doors only, ride is a Fort.

Oh yeah, at kulang ka na ng amplifier channels in that case.
Assuming you're using the passives crossovers that comes with the set, your component will eat up two channels and your coaxials will also eat up two channels. This is just enough for your 4-channel GTO amplifier. If you want to power your subwoofer, you still need another amplifier for that preferably a mono amplifier.

If then so there's no problem there. I'll only complain if you're beginning to spend 10,000php on speakers on just a direct-replacement-versus-stock upgrade path.
Winterpine is the sole DLS distributor in the country so they distribute DLS to their dealership and reseller network nationwide. Given this scenario, you might or might not be able to get additional discounts versus trying to get a price quote from a car audio shop who retails them. Usually it's a no in order to "protect" their dealer networks but sometimes there are under-the-table negotiations. Won't hurt to try naman!

Tama yun conclusion mo. However we cannot pinpoint that unless you have that checked. But yes, it's either the wiring or the speaker. More often than not, it's the speaker but on your "pero may song na malakas naman balanced output ng left and right".. it might indicate a wiring problem too.
If you have the cash, you can either have it checked muna before upgrading... or just go with the heck on it and upgrade your speakers. Even if the problem isn't your speaker and your wiring.. you'll still reap the "benefits" of a non-stock speaker naman

Thanks a lot for taking time to answer my queries. Really, it's quite wonderful learning a lot of things from somebody who obviously has the passion, knowledge and experience on audio and is willing to let others benefit from these.
On the full deadening of 2 front doors, audio shop quoted P6,000 for STP and P4,800 for OEM. I'm thinking that for the price difference of P1,200, might as well go with the branded one. Again, thanks!
No, but it was what sounded closest to Bill, bill. Ha ha ha!
