Possible ba na ma punit yung stock speaker, or even the aftermarket ones, when playing really loud music? T. I. A.
Usual na nakaka sira ng speakers ay ang underpowered amp trying to push the speakers to play loud music or using gain knob as volume control.

Hi im new to all this audio stuff so im looking for some help.

I drive a 2017 vios J it doesnt have rear speakers as stock so I had some sony coaxials put in. Now im thinking of adding a sub or getting component speakers up front. Would it be worth it? or should i invest in a better headunit first? the stock headunit has one pair of rca so i think it would be fine if i got a sub.

    For starters, I think:

    1. A good 10-15k set of component front speakers/tweeters
    2. Deadening - ~5k
    3. New Head unit

Unless you play your music very loud, I think most people will be happy with #1 and #2 palang.

If you're past #3, look into adding an amplifier and a sub.

Personal disclosure, hanggang #1 lang ako usually; #3 when the stock unit dies.

Most if not all loves that extra low frequency oomph so yeah.

If you have the budget why not.

you'll need an amp to power that sub.

Follow mda's advice, just get the highest sensitivity that you can afford on your component speakers if HU lang gamit mo. And if kulang pa then get an amp for your component speakers and if kulang pa rin add a sub and mono amp.

I remember our CR-V 98, the speakers were bad already and I couldn't stand the quality of music since I'm always driving for 160 km one way. I finally decided to upgrade which cost me 50,000 for DLS setup by that time.

As it was installed, the music won't play properly. I was informed that the old head unit is no longer compatibility with the amplifier and so on and so forth. I had no choice but to buy another head unit that costed me an additional 25,000. My wife was giving me the "stare". I just smiled back stroked her hair...

If I went to some shops "without name", I don't think it would have costed me like this. However, I don't know what to look for and I'm not sure if the brand DLS is original or not so I opted for this shop in Makati.

Why is it that I didn't know about this forum before?

Don't like to say it pero parang naloko kayo sir a :/

If the audio shop knew what it was it was doing, they'd have recommended something that WOULD have been compatible. Or they did know that the parts weren't compatible and got you to shell out more money for it :/

The setup for DLS is already posted in their site for 50,000. I already knew the price when I went there. What I wasn't aware of was the compatibility of the head unit. There were other brands but I wanted to maintain the original brand so I opted for Kenwood. Pioneer is much cheaper and I think there shouldn't be any difference for someone like me who knows nothing about this kind of setup.

Surely, the price of the head unit should be much cheaper to other shops but I don't have much time to look for it and I wanted to finish the job so it was more like "I don't have much choice".

EDIT: You should check Mickey's where according to that guy I met said he spent about 350,000 for the sound setup.

Thank you for the advise! I'll listen to you and d3nb3r and shelve my plans for a sub and focus on getting a set of components first

    Store in Makati...

LA Cars? :/ Medyo notorious din ito, not only for audio if ever.

Even pag autoline I doubt they'd install this without telling you first na hindi compatible...
