Hello mga masters, I am contemplating of getting a pioneer 2din HU (x595bt). I have queries on the following:

    1. How does the screen look in bright days? Readable pa ba yung display?
    2. Is the screen a fingerprint and dust magnet?
    3. How is the screen at night? Does it produce glare?

Fingerprint magnet, nope because (reason 1)
    3. No glare naman kasi kapag on headlights, mag-dim din yung screen.

Question lang -- pag may stock tweeters yung kotse, sulit ba na palitan din yung tweeters alongside the front speakers for best effect?

2nd question - are there decent tweeters that will fit in the OEM tweeter pods?

Cheap budget meal lang kasi balak ko.

Note: This is coming from someone who was very impressed with a 'cheap' pair of Polk DB651 front speakers costing less than 5k paired with the stock head unit.

Yes, dapat palitan yung tweeter if papalitan yung midbass. Kasi kapag bumili ka ng seperates, you'll be buying both midbass, tweeters and crossovers. Usually aftermarket tweeters fit sa oem tweeter pods maliban lang sa "selected" ones.

For what vehicle pala yung pinag-uusapan dito?

    Thanks for this.

Looking at this for both a fortuner and a camry..

Kailangan ko maghanap ng harness para sa twitter pods. Averse ako sa splicing, may nakuha na ako na harness for the front speakers.

Boss sa totoo lang there would be no splicing needed. Yung wiring ng stock tweeters pwedeng iwanan lang since kapag bumili ka ng seperates may wiring nang kasama that's going to be connected sa crossover. If may harness ka na for the front speakers, use it for the connection sa crossovers para if ever the time comes na babaklasin mo na yung speakers, it would just be plug and play again.

Most aftermarket tweeters fits camry and fortuner naman.

Many thanks for the info! Any budget tweeter/front speaker setup you could recommend for <10k?

I just need something clearer than stock, to be connected to the stock head unit.

I am very happy with the 5K pair of Polks I bought when both the front speakers of our family Civic died...

I think you were very happy sa 5k polks kasi yung stock sound ng civic is not ok.

Less than 10k, you can try yung Pioneer A1606 worth 7k installed i think. Kayang kaya ng stock head unit yung power needed.

I have yung lower model and i can say na clearer than stock naman.

Totoo yan sir, but the sound system on the Fortuner and Camry is not so good din... Hehe

Will give those a check... ;)

Edit: Parang okay ito ah... These are 6.5" Speakers with Tweeters already?

For me, mas "ok" yung stock sound system sa camry than the civic. Hehe

Yes included na yung tweeters and crossover which is needed to filter the frequency from the high and low sound.

But i'll be honest, you'll need to crank the volume a little bit compared sa normal volume because these speakers need more power compared sa stock. But i think you're already aware of that kasi may experience ka na sa aftermarket speakers. Hehe

for less than 10k, I'd go for Morel maximo or Focal 165AS. Morel is known to be warm and focal medyo bright but it still boils down to tuning. If at least mga 45w rms/channel HU mo kaya na nyang i drive yung mga speakers na yan.

After narinig ko na yung cheap aftermarket set, the stock system sounds a little fuzzy kahit papano hehe.

    Thanks din for the info!

Yeap. May baseline ka na kasi. It's like when my wife was complaining why my B&W speakers are so expensive eh meron naman mura at a fraction of the price dahil na use siya dati sa HTIB system namin. After na rinig nya ang difference tsaka lang siya nag sabi na iba daw talaga and yung sound and yung detail.

Parang ganun na nga. Hehe. Nakaka spoil...

Sana yung mga tweeters ng mga na reco ninyo will fit in the stock pods.

The Camry pods are a little big since nasa dashboard naman sila.

Sa Fortuner nasa side door and medyo maliit eh...

To get an idea of speaker prices, try checking the website of Mickey's Auto sound. Popular brands would include Morel, DLS, Hertz and Focal. I am currently using a Focal165AS and the current prices are lower now.

Planning to get the focal 165AS, how much do they cost now?
Magkano na rin usually ang cost ng sound deadening per door?
