If Mickey is favoring the AP set up, go for it nalang. How about going 5 channel amp sa option 2? Para the amp will be placed under the seat if possible.

I think 5 channel amps won't fit sa underseat. No idea ako sa size ng underseat space ng Forester kaya take my word with a grain of salt regarding dyan.

I have a 5 channel Alpine amp installed under the seat of my Forester. But I don't know if other brands are of the same size.

Will be upgrading my seps soon and now I’m choosing between two components. Morel maximo or hertz dsk165. Any comments on these two? And do you guys have other suggestions in this price range?

Audison is always a good match with Focal. I got my 165FX paired with an SR4. I also heard good pairings with Helix amps. Genesis and Celestra works too.

Boss Arn, sa totoo lang, for me, regular 2-way seps sounds clearer and pushes out more details. The advantage of fullrange drivers like Audible Physics, is a bigger sound. It sounds like a 3-way system. Comparing a 2-way vs a 3-way is the difference in stage of a bookshelf speaker and a floorstander. Mas malaki din ang sweet spot ng mga 3-way systems. Mas madali pa itong Audible Physic driver to tune kasi nga less drivers to work with.

Dun sa sound, yup, you are correct. As warm as Morel and DLS siya. If you got time to audition, I know a few who got Audible Physics installed in their cars.

I'm intrigued by what you said regarding the bigger sweet spot for 3-way systems (and by extension, Audible Physics). When Mickey tuned my other setups in the past, he would tune it with the driver seat pushed back so he could fit. Hence the sweet spot would be somewhat based on his seating position. But since I'm short, I would then push the seat all the way forward. In other words, my ears would most likely be around a foot away from the sweet spot. With 3-ways, or with the Audible Physics, I suppose my unique dilemma would be rendered irrelevant?

Noted. I've consulted at Focal PH as well as Audiotec PH on FB (same guy who replied, maybe authorized dealer for both brands), it is sound best with the Helix G amps and also comparable to Focals new FPX amplifiers. Will just have a walkthrough to their spec sheets whats bestm (RMS range) with my planned setup. Thanks again for the prompt reply Sir 120.

Boss Arn, haven't heard of that pairing. Usually, I get to listen to a Helix-Audible Physics combo. But to give you an idea, Audison are dark sounding amps. It matches Focal the way how B&W(dark) and Rotel(clinical) are a pair made in heaven. So that matched with the warm and laid back Audible Physics may or may not fit your liking.

My installer, SimpleSound, got them installed in his car. His next door neighbor, also got Audible Physics installed in his Santa Fe.

I see your point, thanks! Your analogy with B&W+Rotel is very helpful and now it's also clearer to me why you suggested I go for the Focals given my PSBs. What's a good match for the Audible Physics--what did simplesound/his neighbor pair it with? Would the Alpine PDX-V9 be a better partner?

For me change the kinetic seps to pioneer seps then add deadening. Atleast 5k additional but malaki ang improvement compared sa kinetic seps.

Tonality yes magkakaroon ng pagbabago. Pero you'll feel the improvement more kapag pioneer. May demo si jeff niyan kinetic vs pioneer and malaki ang difference. Pero YMMV parin. According to him may iba ok na sa kinetic pero may iba din na nag-go sa pioneer nung narinig yung difference. (Actually i'm one of them )

Helix din Boss Arn. I have heard Alpine amps before but sorry it's not enough for me to identify their sound signature.
Their HUs and Type R seps, I know, they sound clinical. Just not sure with the amps.

I'll go with Morel. I feel shortchanged with the DSK. Just look at the tweeter. It is too small. Plus, I like Morel's sound signature more.
