1. The Pioneer 8XXXBT only shines when you use its audiophile features such as crossovers, EQs, and most importantly time alignment. Other than that and it's numerous pre-outs, it functions much like a regular head unit.
2. While many installers claim that a certain head unit brand sounds better than the rival headunit brand; I'm on the camp that ignores them because those are minute differences. Sure, they sound different because their internal circuitry is different. But claiming that it's light and day is something I don't understand. As long as its output is rather flat, its flavor is flat.
3. Underseat subwoofers are good enough to regular people. But if you're the type of person to rock out Lil' Jon, I don't think it's enough.
