Regarding the X12 mrv-1507 4channel 3600watts, please.. that's quite a generic V12 amplifier (bootlegs in fact of the famous Alpine V12) and it's usually used for powering of separates - not power-hungry subwoofers. Don't buy the 3600W, it does not even produce half of that value. It's doing something like 60W * 4 ohms on each channel.

Isipin mo muna how you'll wire the subwoofer up. Since meron ka dalawang dual-VC subwoofers you have quite a lot of options naman. But to answer your question, kaya ba ng MRV ang 2-ohm load stable? The answer is... no. Most budget amplifiers aren't built that well sa power supply section nila to supply you 2-ohms on bridged mode. If you're doing a mono or 2-channel amplifier, baka pwede pa. But for 4-channels? Nah, they're just 4ohm stable bridged.

Stable on 2-ohms? Probably on a per-channel basis yan. Ex. 60Wx4 * 4ohms, 90Wx4 * 2ohms. But please, don't believe the box. Yun 3600W palang nga linoloko ka na pano pa yun ibang specifications.

Your best bet? Just use one of the voice coils - tutunong parin naman yan and use it on a bridged 4-channel amplifier.

    Thanks sa reply sir jhnkvn

what ive done is that since dual 4ohms cya i make it series * 8ohms so ch1&2 bridge same as ch3&4 so i used up all the vc as series into the amp as bridge tama po ba safe po ba yung sub and amp ko?, also i used y splitter for the input. by the way sir jhnkvn i used it in the house lng i got power supply which has 42ampere adj voltage *13v. one more question can i power it up *14.4v or hangang ilang volts po kaya and safe cya?

i really appreciate your advice sir jhnkvn

The problem with 8 ohms is that it isn't really inherently "safer", it just adds more resistance to the flow so you get less wattage at a given time. If a bridged amplifier is doing 150W * 4ohms, then at 8ohms, it'll be around half of that or 75W.

For a subwoofer, you would want to lessen the resistance so you can tap more into your subwoofer's power. That's why people love wiring their subwoofers at 2 or 1 ohm.

You won't be needing to use both voice coils just connect one of them and it'll play fine. Speaker-design wise, it'll change the characteristic of the sound since the subwoofer will have different T/S parameters than having 2 VCs wired up - but hindi naman sila nagkakalayo so it isn't a problem.

If you're using a car amplifier wired up sa home power supply, you can push it to 14.4V without problems. Since most amplifiers are unregulated, you'll have more power to tap. For example, if you're 50W at 13V, you're doing something like 65W at 14.4V.

I would suggest to go with Separates instead of a 6x9 sir.

I would still recommend Pioneer. Mainly because complicated yung cabling system ng Alpine. Get a Pioneer 2-DIN HU and then an external processor.

In my own opinion, all Pioneer 2-DIN headunits sound the same. Mas makapal din tumunog ang Pioneer(except for P99) vs its Alpine counterparts.

Regarding the preout voltage, maganda yung 4v because that means it has better current. It makes a difference on loud listening levels like SPL applications.

Even if you don't listen loudly, a higher pre-out voltage still benefits you. This means less gain in the amplifier which means a lower overall noise floor and that benefits you regardless on where your audio journey may take you.

I also remembered, having a high preout voltage also benefits a system with multiple amps, since it can deliver a higher voltage signal for each amp.

    hi sir,

May I know, why do you recommend to go for Separates instead of 6x9? I went to a nearby shop, basically they quoted me the same price 4500 for either 6x9pioneer 3way speakers kor the front door or kicker separates (?). Target unit is navara, no approved budget to replace HU yet :-). Thanks.

Di ko alam kung tama ako. No need mag 6x9 kung may subwoofer naman na. Separates or component on front para nasa ear level ang high or tweeter. Ang mid and low kasi walang tutok. Paki correct na lang mga boss. Ahehehe

The gears that you would use depends on the over-all sound that you are after. Here are some sample configurations from Pioneer.
