audio set-up for beginners [continued]

Sir jhnkvn, I know familiar ka sa mga JBL. I was able to download 2types of GTO609 pdf spec sheets. When I was reading both spec sheet and compare it to the pdf owner’s manual may pinagkaiba pala (RMS and frequency). I want to ask which is which. Maybe new and old model, but how would a newbie know which is the old and the newer model?

These are most possibly the same models. Walang newer or older.

Why?

Because there's no "fixed" standard when it comes to testing RMS and frequency response unless it's CEA certified. You can throw any number you like there as long as it's sensible to people.

I always said that RMS is a poor indicator of a driver's power needs. What it just tells you is how much power the driver can be fed sustainably for a long time. The difference between 75W and 90W is smaller than you think it is. In fact, to most people, the difference cannot be distinguished. Remember, power and volume scales exponentially. It's not a simple addition or multiplication.

I already have a morel maximo 2 way seps and planning to get a 10" morel primo subs. With these gears what specs of amp would you suggest, Thanks

For the speakers, 75W is more than enough but if you can get 100W, why not?
For the subwoofers, 150W is enough but if you can get 300W, why not?

Actually, for the subwoofer.. it's more of a matter of enclosure on how much power you need. Big enclosure = less power you need. Small enclosure = more power you need. In other words, I can throw your Primo in a small box, feed it 300W of power.. and a Primo thrown in a big box with 150W may still be louder than you.
