Hi I'm new here...question on my future audio setup...

I just got my brand new Jazz and was thinking of installing a kewl audio setup...budget is 25-30k cguro...I live in Makati near Malugay where all those car shops are...just had an car alarm installed nung weekend.

My jazz has a Kenwood KDC-MP3029 headunit and I searched kenwood's site and found out that it doesn't support the kenwood ipod attachment add-on oh well guess i'm going to replace everything...

I was wondering if I should go with a setup like this...

    2 tweeters
    2 / 4 mids
    1 / 2 subs

The subs I'd like to be installed on the sides...along with the other speakers...somewhat hidden since I don't want the subs sticking out...

with this setup kaya kaya within the 25-35k range? does anybody know which car shop to go for in Malugay or I could have a friend go with me in Mach2audio...kaso pasig pa yun eh.

What kind of setting you've got in there? Dealing with noise are involve how you install your system.

Tell me how you run your system.
Ex: are you using power amp in your system?
Is your speakers whinning anytime you accelerate your car?
    Is it flutter, radiated, distort?

dami possible causes ng static. For starters try the following:
    1. make sure your rca wires are far from your power cable.
    2. you need a good ground for your amp. make sure its sufficent guage wire and that its connected to bare metal.
    3. you can try lowering your amp gains
    4. bring it back to the shop where you bought your amp and let them fix it for you.

    I agree with Userfriendly.
    1. make sure your rca wires are far from your power cable.
It would be best if your RCA wires ran from the front of the car to the back on (for example) the left side of the car. And your Power cable wire ran on the opposite side (the right side).

Question.. is the static heard only for a split second after you turn on your radio? or does the static stay on the whole time?

Okey! The first step you should do is to check your system noise (or hiss) with the engine off. Insert a blank tape, or put your CD player on PAUSE. Listen to the system with the volume control completely DOWN (walang tunog)and with the volume control turned naman sa PINAKAMALAKAS. Now, turn the volume back down and put on some music. If you hear a bothersome amount of hiss( gaya ng sinabi mo) start over with your gain setting process. Try to pass more signal from the receiver to the Amp's by leaving your receiver's volume control set higher before you adjust the Amp's gain settings.
Experiment untill you've eliminated the hiss or reduced it as much as possible. If this thing wont work let me know. Sometimes, system noise is everything its how you installed you stereo.

in addition to Dr. Guru v6dreamer

make sure din na maganda pasok ng Body Ground mo sa AMP/System mo.. I read from other sources and forums.. mostlikely, kulang yung power na pumapasok... Try changing the location or source of your Ground...

    hope this could help

Guys hingi ako ng opinion niyo...

    Car is Pajero Fieldmaster

Or bili nalang ako ng DLS then i power ng V12 or rockford?

mga bossing, let us assume na newbie ka pa lang at meron kang nabiling 2nd hand tsikot pero walang stereo and speakers, pano mo sisimulan magset-up, diy, ng sounds kung gusto mo magkaroon lang ng mapapakinggan while driving?

what specs should you look for in a car stereo if your budget is only around 5k?

sa speakers naman, kung sa rear ka lang maglalagay, ano ba dapat ang ilagay mo, seps, 6x9 o yung 3-way na round?assuming budget is around 2.5-3k.

please suggest brands na medyo may quality pero affordable naman.

    tnx!

    * gaboy before buying a head unit think what you want in the near future. All of us are intrigued by a good sounds and our ears starts itching for more. Buy a H.U that at least two pre-amp output for your expandtion on a later date also a good speaker for the front or rear. You dont have to get all those thing now but, built it one step at a time. No matter what kind of project you're planning, observe a few common-sense guide and you'll sidestep potential problems. Isang gastosan lang kahit paisa isa hindi yong bukas mas gusto mo na yong mas maganda. Pero, if you just want plain and simple musical sounds, guaranteed, could save you lots of money.

    * oliver on your 10" subs used a small sealed box for deeper sound which I understand that you want more quality sounds than simple beauty. Your MB quarts sep ( used it) must installed on the front like when your listening an orchestra all the intrument must came from the front not on the rear. These speakers are responsible for producing all voice material and the mid to upper registers of most instrument. Your Seps must mounted as close to one another as possible to minimize phaze disturbances as these drivers become separated from one another. Ideally, music should sound as if it is radiating from a single area, not from two distinct points. Thats what I called imaging and staging. Good luck on your new setting.

    v6dreamer,
paano naman yun sa akin, pwede ba akong bumili ng isang 4 channel ampli tapos yung dalawang line ot pang front seps na kicker tapos the other 2 line out ay kunin ko yung positive nung isa at negative nung isa para sa sub, saka ano maipapayo mong ampli na di magandang gamitin.
