im planning to buy 1 kase coz dont wanna ruin my cockpit so para stock paren yung player ko..is this item worth a try or?..and where should i go..amp and sub..JL or hi-fonincs? just want SQ..mga 150-200 watts subs and a seperates sa harap..

kung meron ka bang 2 subs na 200w/400wpeak ang total wattage ba nito ay 400w/800wpeak, balak ko kasing idrive ng mono amp.

400W yun ang effective nominal wattage. Yung 800W naman ay yun ang peak power ng speaker (that includes distortion or unwanted sound)

If you're going to connect them in parallel, be sure to match the resultant impedance of the speakers against your amp. I think it has already been mentioned here. Anyway, If your speakers are rated 4 ohms, connected in series would become 8 ohms. Match this 8 ohms to your amplifier. However, if your apeakers are rated 8 ohms each, connect them in parallel to achieve 4 ohms and match this to your amplifier.

BTW my subs are 4ohms each. if i connect it in series it will be 8 ohms, if in parallel it will become 2 ohms., right?

so i should be looking for an amp that has an impendance of 2 or 4 ohms, right?

what will happen if i connect it to 1 ohm AMP?

and what is the optimal wattage of AMP i should look for? should i consider mono AMP coz i got already an AMP for my seps and coaxials?

again: (2 subs, 200/400w, 4ohms each)

much better kung amp mo si 1ohm stable(expensive). for sure 2 and 4 ohm stable yan.
get an amp that is aroung 500Wrms(or higher) at 2ohm stable para magamit mo yang 2 subs mo.

btw, me kac eb ngayong saturday at jj's 4pm upwards. mas maganda kung attend ka.

Tama si niwde11. In addition, transfer of power from amp to speaker will not be optimal if impedances aren't matched.

2 front tweeters targa brand
2 alpine v12 4/3/2 channel amplifier 3000watts

* 1 amp is dedicated to the subwoofer
*1 amp is dedicated to all the speakers, tweeters

box: the sub is boxed in plywood covered with carpet, it sub is placed on top ( not placed underneath the seat) in the middle, on its side are 2 coax speakers. amps are placed in the trunk, at the back of the seat and at the side of the box.

its a honda civic 94 hatchback

use MDF board rather than Plywood, 3/4 inch will be nice.

just wondering kung ok rin ba yung subwoofers for PC's like Altec,Soundblasters 2.1 or 5.1 that has 12 Volts DC input. ok na rin kasi yung quality nila and it oly costs around 1,600-3,000. ang liit pa, magaan at mobile. hehe..

i was wondering if pwede kayang lagyan yun stock radio sa car ng ipod thingie connector naiinis kase ako sa static ng FM transmitter ko e tapos minsan may sumisingit pang weird radio stations hahahaha! or should i change the head unit? sino dito nag paset up na rin sa kid audio? ok ba? affordable?

ok... so im going out to shop for car audio stuff tomorrow... target ko is to look for great affordable pair or subs (or one) and amp for it... i wanna add a little more UHMP to my thump... any suggestions on where i could find great buys? im a tinsy bit lost... ive gotten suggestions but i dont think i trust em tho coz i dont know the shops theyre sugegsting... lol
